In the last 90 minutes, Mendocino County reported six new cases, bringing the total there to 11. 252 people in the bay area have died from coronavirus. While the flnumber of cases appears to be rising, the Santa Clara CountyPublic HealthDepartment Says the curve is flattening in the county. On april 10th, there were 79 reported cases. Two women facing federal charges tonight accused of intentionally coughing on people when they were caught shoplifting at this walgreens in San Francisco. Prosecutors say the women were not Wearing Masks and that they told the manager they had covid as they took items off store shelves. Developing at this hour, napa county deputy shot and killed a robbery suspect. It happened about 2 00 this afternoon. Deputies say they were investigating a robbery when they spotted the suspects to t airport. At this point we dont have any more information on what happened or what led deputies to shoot the suspect. From yorkies to maltese, this Instagram Account depicts perfectly posh pets linked to a business touting happy, healthy bloodlines and furever friends. She doesnt just feel well. Reporter janice, who lives in the bay area, says its not what it seems. Shes breeding sick dogs, and she doesnt care. Reporter janice is talking about the person behind the pictures. A puppy seller out of georgia named monica wong. I wanted to get a companion for coco, so i saw blancas picture on there. Reporter several messages and a few videos later, this white and black yorkie terrier blanco was on a flight and then in the arms of her new mom. Blanco was lethargic, listless, didnt have a blanket. Reporter the puppy had suspected parasites, a hernia, and four holes in her skull. It was devastating because they told me that if her conditions got worse, then i should put her down. Reporter according to two animal experts, including one with no connection to janices case, blanco had a congenital condition. Im not the only one shes deceived. I purchased two puppies from her. They came to me with severe diarrhea and fullblown adult ear mites. She wasnt going to make it through the night. Reporter these two women also say they adopted sick puppies from wong. Were not revealing their identities or janices last name because they say wong cyber bullies customers who share concerns publicly. My name was everywhere on facebook. She made my life a living hell. Reporter we reached out to facebook. After they reviewed the case, Facebook Says it disabled wongs Instagram Account, citing bullying and harassment. I even contemplated suicide. Im serious. It was so bad. Reporter as bad these alleged victims say as wongs treatment of animals. In november, inspectors issued her a violation for humane care. Our team obtained video from that county and state inspection of wongs georgia business last november, one month before she sold blanco. From the outside, the business looked like a closed brewsters ice cream shop. When wong opened the door for inspectors, they found 46 puppies inside and feces in almost every enclosure according to reports. Some of the dogs were imported from russia, hungary, and ukraine. More than half were not vaccinated. I got him from hungary. He has a virus. I think its like a herpes virus. Reporter at the time, documents show wong didnt have a valid breeder or business license. So we do have to have an actual business license even if were not running a business out of here. Its a puppy mill. Reporter georgias department of agriculture, which oversees the states commercial dog breeding its not ethical to do this. Reporter wong declined our request for an interview. In an email she says blanco was healthy at the time of the sale and other customers had other issues. Reporter last year california started forcing pet stores to sell dogs and cats only from shelters. Pet buyers tell us an unintended consequence of that has been more people shopping for pets online.
