It is already clearing the north bay and were seeing lingering showers. For the east bay we have some light rain in most sports and also over to the south bay a few heavier spots in parts of the peninsula. This will move through so quickly that it will only bring through a tenth to a quarter inch of rain. Well dry out tonight and tomorrow. This week the school will go the oldfashioned way, no internet, no email. The district superintendent says the county chose not to pay the ransom. The hackers who attacked the system. Parents understand but are still concerned. Its scary because they do a lot of communication with their teachers on the computer. I feel if that door is open then who else could hop on in there and expose our children to things that we are trying to protect them from. An understandable concern. The district says no personal information is at risk in the attack. A rally of support planned for the family of a transgender woman killed by police. They are appealing their lawsuit against the city. Killed after Police Responded to a Mental Health call. The Family Says Police used excessive force. A federal lawsuit against the city was thrown out last year. Officers involved in the arrest were exonerated in an investigation. Oral arguments begin in the appeal today. News involving the ongoing fight against cancer. The American Cancer Society found the largest year to year drop reported from 2016 to 2017. New drugs have those fighting lung cancer and melanoma.
