That moved into the bay area from the south, the remnants of what was a tropical storm. So humidity is up, but we still have conditions that are not so great for firefighting. Let me give you a look at conditions near the czu lightning complex right now, going down to the Santa Cruz Mountains. Relative humidity is up. Thats good news. 74 . Dont mind that wind reading there. Our computers are not accurately recording the actual current steady wind right now. But the gusts are accurate. Gusts up to 17 miles an hour right now in the area of the czu lightning complex. Here in gaurnville, its 81 degrees. Relative humidity at 41 . Gusts only 4 miles per hour, so very light wind there. And near the hennessee temperature, relative humidity at 30 and the gusts at 8 miles per hour. So some improvement in the weather in the north bay. In the south bay we could use more help the wind and temperature. Ama . All right, spencer, thank you. Officials in lake county are holding a Virtual Community meeting on facebook about the lnu complex. This is a live look that youre seeing there. There are some evacuation ord ersz and warnings in the county that Kelseyville High School parking lot has been set up as an evacuation point. Now lets stake you to the live News Conference happening in the Santa Cruz County area, for the czu lightning fire. This is in Scotts Valley live. Lets listen in. So no lightning caused fires over the last 24 hours. If you remember, when we were standing here 24 hours ago, we were all highly concerned about the red flag conditions. With that, on the czu lightning complex this evening, were up to 78,684 acres. Obviously, we get more specific on the numbers, the more were able to ground truth it with people on the ground and we are confirming 78,684 acres. We are 13 contained and 25,000 structures that remain threatened. We can confirm that 276 structures have been destroyed. That is both in san mateo and santa cruz counties. A large majority of those structures are in Santa Cruz County, and obviously that information, well get down to the specifics as it gets released to each eoc at the county level. And finally, some even better news. Up to 1,609 firefighters. Personnel assigned to this incident. Obviously every number of firefighters that comes on the line has a direct correlation to the per spent increase in containment that we can gain so thats a Welcome Development with us. F to o n. Good evening. So today with the weather that we had, really led us to get in there and do a lot of good work. We had a lot of progress on the fire today, with the clear air. We were able to fly more aircraft. And on the ground, again, we brought in more resources and we were able to get more heavy equipment, the bulldozers and so forth to help us construct those lines. So a lot of good work going on. Predominantly up in the north zone, having Good Progress. We have Line Construction continuing. The fire is backing into a little more here, but, again, its pretty much creeping. We are monitoring that. Its not making any threat to those communities, but it is still advancing, albeit slowly. There is a road here in Division Gulf and kilo that weve been talking about. That lines been improved. The fire is holding, which is great, because that is keeping fire from coming any sort of advancement into potentially Santa Clara County. So happy with the results there. The highway 9 corridor, continued work along that corridor. Again, as i said before, difficult terrain to work in. Very steep terrain. Heavy fuels. Not the most ideal area to put our control lines like we typically do. But it is were making do with it. Were making it work and it is holding in most all locations. In the state park down below ben lomond, continued work there. That will be one of the challenging points, one of the areas that will be a lot of work, a lot of planning, but were making advancement there is throughout. The south is looking really good. Our containment line, our primary and secondary line on that south part of the fire is solid. The area that we burned in yesterday, fantastic. Its holding. Its doing what we want. Any fire thats burned down to that is selfit, meaning extinguished or holding on that line, which is what we wanted to do. So it really minimizes that threat to santa cruz and the uc campus. So very happy with those results. In bonny doon, continued work around the structures. Again, pain staking work. A lot of heavy fuels and structure out there. Still some fire creeping throughout that. Again, thats a lot of work digging in and getting after it and taking care of business. We did a small burn operation along empire grade road to martin road that puts in a nice control line for us. So it keeps spread going to the west and affecting more homes. So thats a good contro line we did the button that little bit up. And then as far as our air program, didnt fly any of the fixed wing air tankers on that, but what was critical is the use of our helicopters. We have six water dropping helicopters assigned to this incident. And today was the best day yet. We were able to drop 200,000, thats 200,000 gallons throughout the day in fi pr suppression activities. So with our Ground Troops and aerial force going, a great day and a lot of good work out there, and a lot of advancement moving forward. With the weather, i think well have more days like this and hopefully get us closer to the end of suppressing this fire. Speaking next from the Santa Cruz County Sheriffs Office is chief deputy chris clark. Well, good evening. So i just wanted to touch on a few things tonight. One, 79 personnel working the valley. If youve been displaced, i want you to know, and kind of get a feeling and understanding of what our Police Presence looks like near your home. And so today, 79 folks worked the san lorenzo valley. That was 33 of our people here at the Sheriffs Office. We were aided by 46 additional officers through mutual aid. And i kind of want to give you an idea of what that situation would typically look like. The san lorenzo valley, when it comes to policing, thats broken into three separate zones. Policed by basically at any one given time over a 24hour period under normal circumstances, policed by three deputies. Today, we had 79. And not only that, we broke those three zones down into 17 specific zones. So to give you an idea, three larger zones broken down into 17 more specific areas. Manned by 79 officers and deputies in those zones, driving around and looking for people that shouldnt be there. Or people that needed evacuated or had an emergency that they needed help with. In terms of calls for service today, we responded to 17 suspicious people or persons, calls that came in, spelsas wel 11 well chafare checks. And we did make arrests. Were committed to looking for people that are looking to prey on you and your neighbors. And so i want to highlight a couple of these arrests today. Today we arrested two folks. One was a 51yearold woman in felton in the evacuated zone and should not have been there. Another was a man from santa cruz. When he stopped, we found 5,000 in cash, a set of binoculars and video camera. So that person went to jail for obviously getting into a pursuit with us, resisting arrest, and then being in an evacuated zone. Then we cited two other folks, again, for being in the evacuated zone. Although they resided there and were in the zone, should not have been there. Again, just touching on that, we empathize with people wanting to come back. We get it, youre displaced. I said this before, we have our evacuated during this fire that would like to go back and sleep in their own bed. But until this fire gets under control, its imperative people stay out of the area so we can focus on the people that shouldnt be there. In terms of on another note, with regards to theres been an outpouring of interest in the firefighters the firefighter who got his truck broken into and his wallet stolen. So i think everybody agrees, that conduct is just absolutely outrageous. So especially for people trying to help. So what i wanted to do, so our detectives, through leads and their investigation, they and im going to need your help on this. Im going to show you some pictures. For the media, these photos will be available to you. But the firefighter who lost his wallet, his cards were used at the Safeway Grocery store on 41st avenue and the shell gas station in santa cruz. And then his cards were also used to purchase or attempted purchase bitcoin. So it was about a 2,000 loss. Heres a more closeup view. So we believe this person is likely a bonny doon resident. What were hoping is if youve been evacuated from the area, you may recognize him. So im holding a picture here. This will get posted to social media. So maybe you recognize him. Maybe its the giants hat, maybe its the lighter colored hair. Either way, this picture will be available. We encourage you to take a look at it and help us identify who this person is. The firefighter himself, and, again, an outpouring of support. I fielded a call from kansas city, missouri, from a lady who said we would love to set up a go fund me in kansas city, because we cant believe people would do that. The firefighters family has said at this point, the insurance has reimbursed them and they dont need the assistance, but that just shows you the National Spread of this event and i think overall how we feel about that sort of conduct. Its crazy. A couple of other things. On another note, and really a somber note, i spoke last night about a person we found deceased at the end of last chance road. We identified that man as 73yearold tad jones. So we have spoken to his family. He was a last chance resident. So there will be an autopsy pending to determine the cause of death there, and more information to come. But we identified him and spoke to his family. I want to talk about cell service for just a second. So as i mentioned last night, verizon and at t cell service was a little sporadic. Verizon was able to make improvements today. So verizon coverage should be better within the valley. At t was working today to fix their issues. Hopefully that will get fixed, as well. We also have been fielding a lot of calls. The city of santa cruz issued, and i mentioned this morning, they issued a prewarning for the city of santa cruz, and theres a lot of we field a lot of calls from uneasy residents. Based on the information we have, theres no imminent danger to the city of santa cruz at this time. But nonetheless, that prewarning went out to keep People Better prepared. So thats why that happened. And then in terms of evacuations, for another city, there was a rumor going around facebook. And really this rumor was about it started with basically somebody saying hey, the city of Scotts Valley, the order has been lifted. Thats false. Thats not true. And so we put something out on social media, the city of Scotts Valley put something out on social media. So really i just encourage you i know people are on social media. But go to a trusted site, go to cal fire, go to the santa cruz Sheriffs Office to get information. Make sure the source is valid. And lastly, i just want to touch on a couple of resources for people. You know, in terms of youve been displaced. You know, there may be costs that arent covered by your Insurance Company and i said this before, i feel for people. With covid and with the Financial Hardship that that brings, especially at a time like this. If insurance doesnt cover your loss, i cant even imagine how you would feed a family and survive. But nonetheless, i found two resources today that i wanted to pass along to help people with things that maybe are not covered by insurance. So one is its a website, disasterassistance. Gov. And then the other is a fema app. So if you go to the app store or whatever, you know, application vendor, you have whether you have an iphone or an android, download the fema app and ptheres resources on there to help you if you had costs that you couldnt get reimbursed through normal channels. Thank you. All right. Youve been listening to an update from authorities in Scotts Valley, dealing with the fire there thats been burning called the czu lightning complex. As you heard them describe it, quote unquote, great day. A lot of good things happened there today. Water dropping helicopters were able to really work freely today, dumping about 200,000 gallons. That fire is at 78,000 acres, a little more than that. It is 13 contained. Still a long way to go, but they had a good day on the fire lines there today. But encouraging hearing from them today, dan. The hardest firefight right now is to contain the lnu lightning complex burning through five cunties and ranking as the second biggest wildfire in california state history. This is made up of five fires, one that burned from napa county to vacaville. On the west, is the myers family and in the middle is the wall bridge fire. Sky 7 was over it less than an hour ago. This is sweet water springs road. Firefighters arent just trying to save homes. Cornell bernard is there with the efforts to save a grove of historic redwood trees. Reporter that grove became a new focus today. Armstrong woods state park, just miles from here, fire crews trying to protect it from the fire tonight. A redwood tree burns inside historic armstrong woods state park. Its burning all the way down. Thats the way its going to keep going. Reporter the wall bridge fire made its way to the floor of the Russian River valley creeping into the center of this historic park of old growth redwoods. But firefighters are watching the progress. If it continues to go that way, i think we wont see any damage to the trees. If it gets big, weve got concerns. Reporter after almost a week of fighting in fire, crews are slowly making progress. Despite that, the fire has been relentless, feeding on dry brush. Several homes have been lost in the hills here. Cal fire feared a weather system with lightning could make things even worse. We truly did dodge a bullet on this one. Very grateful to hear that the system fell apart and didnt have any significant effects on the fire. Reporter several communities on the Russian River remain under a mandatory Evacuation Order. Harry singhs mini mart here is the only place open for miles. Try to help the people as much as we can. We are in a critical situation. Reporter others wonder when the fire threat will finally end. I thought we seen the end of it in the last three, four years. Lake county and Sonoma County and who would have thought it would get this bad . Reporter just got a text from cal fire with an update. It says crews have been successful today keeping the fire from damaging any trees inside armstrong woods. Simply that is good news. The last time there was a major fire inside this park was back in 1929. Live in guerneville tonight, cornell bernard, abc7 news. Wow, all right, cornell, thank you. Federal crews have taken command of a wildfire burning in the Point Reyes National seashores. Its burned about 2500 acres in a sparsely populated area. More than 200 personnel have been brought in to fight the fire. The fire is about 5 contained. Now lets move to the scu lightning complex, burning in the south and east bays. Some Evacuation Orders in Santa Clara County has been downgraded to warnings now. The last update put the fire at more than 347,000 acres. It is 10 contained with 12 structures destroyed. But still a big problem. Luz pena is live where firefighters from other states are there to help out. Reporter thats right, dan. Were technically surrounded by this fire here. You see the firefighters right behind us, working on preventing from those flames to cross over this ridge. What they dont have are the resources. What they do have is a strategy. Whats making it harder is the terrain. Access is one of the main complications firefighters are faced with inside the henry coe state park. We saw it firsthand as we drove embedded with the fire team into the fire zone. Theres only a few roads up into this part of it. So theres a lot of rolling terrain and just small roads and getting large vehicles up here is somewhat difficult. Reporter the local and state resources have not been enough to contain the scu lightning 3 acres burned in eight days. Its still out of control. Help is coming from across the country. This team got here from texas. Whats the strategy now . Right now along this line, we are burning out around houses. So to protect them, so were going to protect them by burning out around them and let the fire push off away from them, so when the fire does come to it, there will be less to burn and the fire will be lower and flamely. Reporter you guys are coming from texas. How many of you are here . Theres 44 of us that came in from texas, two strike teams. Reporter to protect access, crews are creating a containment box. We dont want the fire to get to i5. So we want to keep it west of i5. We dont want it to go north of the county line, we dont want it to get on to the 101 or 680, so we want to be east of that location. Down here to the south, we dont want it to get down to the 152. So thats our box. Reporter another complication happened overnight. We did have forecasted lightning for the last sunday and monday. That only resulted in one Additional Fire starting on this fire, and it was contained within one half acre. Reporter but the plan is to keep moving. And the pacheco pass highway is over that cloud of smoke you see there. The fire is 10 contained so far. They dont want this fire to jump over the ridge and get to the residential area of this region. Luz pena, abc7 news. Luz, thank you very much. So heart warming to see firefighters from other parts of the country coming in to help out. Check out the latest evacuation areas. This affects multiple counties, as we said. The Evacuation Order zones are in red. Thats where people have to leave. They must get out. Te evacuation warnings are shown in yellow. Those are not mandatory, theyre just told be prepared. Leave if you can, but be prepared to be ordered to get out and move immediately. Because of all of these fires burning everywhere, the air quality is just awful. And its always changing and it depending on where you live. Lets get to meteorologist drew tuma for the details on our air quality right now. If youre not directly impacted by one of our fires, youre impacted by the smoke. Another day of unhealthy air quality, but this evening, we are seeing a it will of a sea breeze kick up. There is some good news directly along the immediate coastline. You can see san rafael has improved to good air quality. Improvements in San Francisco, oakland and redwood city, as well. To moderate air quality. Still, there are issue where is the breeze is not Strong Enough inland to mix out some of the smoke. We do have unhealthy air quality from napa to san jose. Look at the satellite imagery over california today. You notice the plumes from our fires are not as big as they were last week. Thats a testament to the hard work the firefighters are doing. Theres a lot of smoke trapped around california, especially in the bay area. And in the central valley. So the next 4 hour24 hours, lit change. Well have another spare the air day in effect tomorrow. When Spencer Christian comes back, well see if we have any an army family who is always at the ready. So when they got a little surprise. Two . They didnt panic. They got a bigger car for their soontobebigger family. After shopping around for insurance, they called usaa who helped find the right coverage for them and even some muchneeded savings. That was the easy part. Usaa insurance is made the way liz and mike need it easy. The wildfires could make the coronavirus pandemic worse. New at 6 00, dion lim explains the link. Reporter as the bay area holds on to the dubious distinction of the worst air quality in the world, due to extreme heat and wildfires, the concern also intensifies over the smokes effect on the lungs and covid19. The particulate matt they are can make it to the deep lungs increases the risk of a mild coronavirus inspection to severe covid19. Reporter lets put it this way, it isnt the haze in the air you can see that doctors are most concerned about. If this paper towel tube repprenls a strand of hair, the most damaging particulates are 20 to 30 times smaller than this. If sh you are inhaling wildfire smoke, it increases the risk of moving milder to more severe disease. Reporter there is a direct link between smoke induced coughing and spreading the virus. Specifically for those who are asymptomatic. Coughing and sneezing, if youre close by someone and youre not masked. Thats whats going to increase the risk. Reporter the one thing that would help in addition to proper masking . It would be great to have a good, solid rain. Reporter but that isnt in the forecast any time soon. In San Francisco, dion lim, abc7 news. Just ahead here live updates on the wildfires burning through the bay area right now that Governor Newsom calls historic. Youve seen plenty of helicopters and planes fight the fires. What about the drones . A vo my name is cynthia hawkins, the owner of Hawkins House of burgers. My grandparents came here in 1939 and weve been serving this community for over 80 years. My dad always said, take care of your community and they will always take care of you. And they have done so. Through the ups and through the downs. My name may be on this building, but this place belongs to all of us. Now from abc 7, live, breaking news. Wildfires have burned more than 1. 2 million acres in california, nearly the size of the grand canyon. Its staggering when you put it that way. The largest of the three complexes in Northern California is the lnu lightning complex. This shows you what the fire looked like near sweet water springs road in Sonoma County about 40 minutes ago. Some Evacuation Orders have been downgraded today. The fire is burning in lake county. Officials are holding a Virtual Community meeting right now. Cal fire says the highest priority is the hennessee fire, moving north. A lot of this fire is moving in areas where previous fires have burned. But we have everything we have available to us. Now to thescu lightning complex in the east and south b. There isome good were just downgraded to warnings. The fire has burned more than 347,000 acres. It is at this point, 10 contained. Fire crews made Good Progress on the Alameda County side of the scu lightning complex. Laura anthony is live in downtown livermore tonight with that part of our coverage. Laura . Reporter hi, dan. We are about five miles as the crow flies from that fire activity. We were out on those fire lines earlier today or tried to get out to the fire line. We couldnt see a lot of flame activity. There was a fair amount of smoke and there has been a fair amount of smoke down here in downtown livermore throughout the weekend. But its getting a bit better. The hills high above livermore near the dell val Regional Park are smoke wri but flame free. Eight days into an scu lightning complex fire that has scorched nearly 150,000 acres in seven counties. You see the black line here, that means we have that part contained. Reporter favorable weather conditions are allowing fire crews to expand the containment lines. But things could change if the winds pick up. The temperature is high, the rh is low and we have increasing wind speed. With all those factors, its very dangerous out there. You can have a small, smoldering fire kick up and send embers. They were saying this morning up to three quarters of a mile from where the fire line is. Reporter perhaps the biggest concern for residents of livermore has been the terrible air quality. On sunday, the air was so brown, it was considered dangerous even for healthy individuals. Downtown today, things looked a lot better. The air quality is fine. A little bit of wind. The smoke has been much better today. Reporter gary recently moved here from southern california. Its been really quite good. I like it. Reporter except for maybe the fires . Well, thats just the last couple of weeks, yes. And im hoping that this will not be an annual occurrence. Reporter and were back live here. Were show you the latest readings. This is the epas app. It says 189. Its in the unhealthy range. But everything these days is relative, dan and ama. This is actually a lot better than the readings were over the weekend. Its a little windy out here and cooler. That helps with the air flow, i think. The wind is, though, a concern for those firefighters trying to increase that containment line. In livermore, laura anthony, abc7 news. All right, laura, thank you so much. We brought you a live update from cal fire at the top of the hour on the czu lightning complex fire. 25,000 structures are still threatened, but the fire lines so far are holding. Lets go live to stephanie sierra for a closer look at this fires impact. Stephanie . Reporter well, ama, the Cal Fire Press Conference just wrapped up a couple minutes ago. We really learned about a lot of Good Progress made today. Cleaner air and aircraft and helicopters were able to come into areas that they previously hadnt been able to go to because the smoke was so thick. So they were able to hit the north and south zones, 200,000 gallons of Fire Suppression that hit those areas, securing a lot of those fire lines. 276 structures are destroyed, and we walked into several neighborhoods that we saw burn to the ground. Empire gray road in bonny doon, cars burned up, homes destroyed. This neighborhood, one of so many devastated by flames. The fires came up to my house. I was there with my brother and acuad and actoelp. H repter gak its a double edged sword, because, you know, you evacuate monitor the fire. Reporter a risk he was willing to take. Not even sleeping, just eyeing the flames from his hammock. A lot of folks in this community, kind of formed up into informal teams in different areas around here. And just worked together to keep the fires back. Reporter its stories like these you see across the fire zone. People like Kyle Hofstetter who we found staring at the orange smoke hovering above his home. Our whole life is here. You see these things on tv, and you know, you think you know what to do. But when youre in that position, its not as easy as you think it is to just pack up everything and leave. Reporter he couldnt bear to leave, or the thoughts that come after. Youre sitting around wondering if youre going to leave and youre just looking around at your house. The thought of what happens if you leave and you come back and its not there. Reporter an empty feeling we found on an empty road with very little left behind. Heres another live picture of that hazy sky you see in the distance. It was just five days ago, that smoke so thick that aircraft could not make it through into these areas. Its really important to point that out because of all the progress we just learned about today was mainly due to the 200,000 gallons of fire suppressant that made it to the northern and southern zones. There were 17 calls of suspicious people found around areas that led to two arrests today. And also 11 welfare checks. I just want to reinforce that message. For those people that have evacuated, you are asked to stay away from your homes. A lot of these welfare calls have resulted in a lot of resources. But fire crews and resources to be diverted, it is slowing down the firefight in areas that are prioritized right now. Were live in Scotts Valley, stephanie sierra, abc7 news. Thank you, stephanie. This map gives you a visual idea of where the danger zones are for the czu lightning complex. The area in red is in an Evacuation Order. In yellow zones, those are affected by evacuation warnings. Youre hearing and seeing about containment when it comes to the wildfires. What does that mean . Maybe not what you think it does. Well explain it. It will take less than 60 seconds, too. Also ahead im michael finney. With price goesing ripoffs, 7 on your side is coming up. And we have a lot of resources how to help wildfire victims, as well as how to stay safe. Youll find it on our website, abc7news. Com take action. Take a look wh heres view over San Francisco from drone view 7 ten days ago. Compare it to today, and you can see what a difference the wildfires are making to our air. Silicon valley drone maker is working alongside firefighters to support Fire Suppression efforting. And thats new technology on the horizon that will make drones a more valuable ally to monitor a fires behave yor and faith. David louie shows us what lies ahead. Reporter drones are showing promise to be the next important tool for wildland fires. Work is under way by startups like redwood citys company to develop technology that allows them to operate autonomously. By comparison, flying a manned helicopter can cost 1,000 an hour. Flying a helicopter is expensive and slow and puts the pilot and crew at risk with. A drone, you can get into tricky situations where risking a drone to get Critical Data may be well worth it. Reporter a new generation of drone with cameras will give drones the ability to steer clear of danger. Thermal cameras will identify hot spots and track the direction a fire is moving. Good Old Fashioned firefighting is our key to attacking a fire. But using every available tool is important. Reporter the company is working with federal, state, and local Fire Departments that have deployed its drones. A goal is to have drones mobilized on their own at the first indication of a fire in sync with the deployment of ground crews. I think the future where we have autonomous drones on demand to respond to emergencies like this, i think thats five or more years away. Reporter that may seem far off. The Drone Industry is acknowledging the need is now. David louie, abc7 news. Well, when things are in short supply, prices go up. The law of supply and demand, right . But during an emergency like the wildfires, that law says prices must remain about the same. So people cant take advantage of you. Michael finney explains what that means to you. Reporter here it is in a nutshell. When there is a disaster or an emergency, the law of supply and demand is suspended. The California Attorney Generals Office has issued this consumer alert, reminding businesses that when the governor declares a state of emergency, price gouging rules kick in. Limiting most price increases to no more than 10 above what was being charged before the declaration. So food prices must remain constant. Same with medical and emergency supplies. Gasoline, too. Now, over the years, i have seen very few problems with those items. However, i have heard of issues with hotels multiple times. At a News Conference yesterday, the Santa Cruz County District Attorney said hes getting reports about hotels, too. There are other people that are taking advantage in a different way, price gouging. Ive heard about various hotels and other things that are trying to take advantage of people who, during these times of crisis, want to jack up the rates for various things. And i promise you, if we find out that, were coming after you, too. Reporter the dynamic pricing model of hotels where prices go up when demand goes up is built into most room reservation systems. So when the super bowl was here, hotel prices spiked. But that doesnt make the practice legal during an emergency. During the 2015 valley fire, i received reports of hotel price gouging and spoke with california board of equalization of investigators about what was found. I went to the guests before i went to the front desk and i asked them, you know, what they had paid. A lot of them were twice the usual rate. And whether it was a mistake or not, its still not its still against the law. Reporter all of the overcharged guests received refunds after my report. Emergency repairs to your home and even rebuilding is covered by this law. But it is extremely difficult to prove, so hang on to all of your receipts. Im michael finney, 7 on your side. When we talk about fighting fires, youll often hear the word containment, which means a fire is surrounded. That would be by a lake, a freeway or a fire line. A fire line is created by firefighters when they take away material that could fuel the fire, like grass or shrubs. Containment expressed as a percentage means the percent of the fire that is surrounded, even when a fire is fully contained, as in fully surrounded, it can still be burning but its no longer spreading. We are in a spring of spare the air alerts. Spencer is keeping an eye on our inflammation in your eye might be to blame. One of the three major complexes burning in Northern California. The harm zelargest is in the no, its burned 350,000 acres. Cal fire says crews made Good Progress inside of armstrong woods state park, keeping the fire from spreading and damaging redwood trees. The scu complex fire has burned 340,000 acres, just 10 conta contained. Evacuation orders were just reduced to warnings, allowing people to go back to their homes. The czu lightning complex has burned more than 78,000 acres, its at 13 containment. 276 structures destroyed and 25,000 are still threatened. The fire is challenging some of the lines and some of the places, but its a slow, progressing fire. Our firefighters are out on the ground, theyre working aggressively. More firefighters who were sent to the czu complex today. Officials say they will get more resources over the next few days.
