Disability services staff to get jab as supply grows

Social Affairs & Religion Correspondent
The Department of Health has said it is not possible to administer Covid-19 vaccinations to all staff working in all residential facilities in disability services at this time, due to limitations of supply.
Staff who do not receive the vaccine in the coming week will be included in the vaccination programme for frontline healthcare workers, which will continue in February.
The confirmation comes after the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, told the Dáil that staff in long-term care facilities with disabilities were being vaccinated this week.
Disability representative organisations said this was not the case.
