he said a line, it is not guns that pull the trigger, it's people. it's not just the line that he said, it's the reaction from the crowd. they roared when he said that, and i think we need to appreciate these president views these rallies as focus groups and they drive his decision making. if he sees pushback from his voters that he cares most about they don't want to do anything on this, that's a bad sign. >> i was at the new hampshire rally and was going to point out the same thing. that was the biggest applause line when he said people pull the trigger, guns don't. and i felt like his shift to uk thatting about mental institutions on the way there, i felt like i had seen that shift before after the parkland shooting when there seems to be serious talk about gun control legislation and all of a sudden he started talking about arming teachers in the class room and that whole totally shifted the conversation over another way. i thought this time it was going in a different direction because when i talked to people at the white house tuesday, there was really substantive conversations
