started. another thing it's doing is hampering efforts to lay that protective shore line boom. they can't lay that. in areas where they already have, the high winds are just overtopping those booms and taking that oil right into the areas where they're hoping to keep that from. officials estimate a million and a half gallons have already spilled from that leak and right now, there is no way of capping that leak. they're still working on that. the situation here is one of frustration as they think of ways to save or maybe just salvage this seafood industry in this area. >> juliette: craig live in venice, louisiana. thanks. >> gregg: it seems like we have been hit with a number of massive natural disasters lately from the earthquakes in haiti and chili to the iceland volcano. and here at home, it has been nearly three years since a wedge tornado nearly wiped out all of greens berg, kansas. remember that? seems like this may make it seem like we can't get the upper hand on mother nature.
