<p>"People sang, chanted or drummed, stared at the lifelike animals around them, and perhaps got high: the cave as an ideal venue for a rave."- Barbara Ehrenreich<br><br>Straight from the old caves at Leka, to HAVET in Trondheim, this year's rave will take place on 7 October in Langhuset!<br><br>Before the raven starts, you can take part in a conversation about the cave as a historical and ritual place. The conversation will start at 19, led by choreographer and dancer Mia Habib, who comes straight from isolation in a cave at Leka. In connection with her ongoing project Psychedelic Cave, Mia Habib invites guests to a conversation about the cave - as a temporary shelter, a community space, and as a ritual place linked to magical rituals.<br><br>In Northern Trøndelag you will find the largest collection of cave paintings in Norway and probably in the whole of Northern Europe. Scientists have stated that the cave paintings on this stretch of coast testify that the caves have not been used as residences, but as ritual sites where our distant ancestors may have used the cave and its darkness to make contact with other worlds.<br><br>After the talk, it's a rave - dance yourself tight and happy to cave-like tunes from Arnfinn Killingtveit himself for the rest of the evening until well past bedtime, in a room developed by scenographer Liam Alzafari in collaboration with Mia Habib.<br><br>The event is free and open to everyone.
