Danny Boy: Anthony Boyle and Toby Jones star in tense new trailer for Iraq War drama

Soldier Brian Wood received the Military Cross for bravery while serving in Iraq, but nine years later found himself branded a murderer and embroiled in one of Britain’s biggest ever public enquiries.
Danny Boy, a new one-off drama from the BBC, will explore Wood’s true story, with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child star Anthony Boyle taking on the role of the veteran falsely accused of war crimes.
Toby Jones will star opposite Boyle as Phil Shiner, the Iraq Historical Abuse Team’s star human rights lawyer who brought the case against Wood as part of the Al-Sweady Inquiry.
