Burrell Behavioral Health will hold an online virtual panel titled “Youth & Suicide: Supporting our Kids’ Mental Health During the Holidays” from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday. Behavioral experts from medical, outpatient and youth services programs will be sharing do’s, don’ts and best practices for engaging youth and monitoring their mental health. Burrell also will take public questions following the panel discussion.
Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among teens in the United States, and the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 has only added to the mental strain and pressures affecting young people.
