But for the here and now, this is the rainfall were likely to see accumulate between now and The End of friday, could be as much as 18mm. Perhaps parts of north east england, potentially through the midlands into wales as well, so areas that could really do without seeing more rainfall as it falls on that saturated ground. So, low pressure is driving our weather. Its gradually shifting its way eastwards at the moment. Weve got some rain for the rest of this evening and tonight, pushing across central and eastern parts of england, northern england, its going to be pretty persistent overnight. Northern ireland also seeing some outbreaks of rain to the south of that, Clear Interludes and intermittent heavy showers, perhaps some thunderstorms rattling through overnight as well. Its northern and central parts of scotland that are going to stay driest for longest, but temperatures falling into single figures here. Most of us though, sticking in double figures overnight.
