But what makes these new charges stand out . I times. But what makes these new charges stand out . Charges stand out . I think its a fact that they charges stand out . Fact that they are using laws that ordinarily would be used to prosecute the mafia and mob bosses. 13 counts for donald trump out of the 41. 13 counts for donald trump out of the a1. He is among 19 defendants. They are very serious charges, and we dont know how much meat is on the bones because not even Donald Trumps defence team has yet received disclosure and discovery of the documents, they have to do that. In terms of a timeline, we would expect in the next few days to the next week he will appear in court for what is called the arraignment, thatis for what is called the arraignment, that is the first stage of any criminal trial process, where he would presumably plead not guilty because he has on the other cases. The Prosecutor Says that she will seek to bring this to trial within the next six months. But doesnt seem realistic because Donald Trumps lawyers in other cases have said they need more time to prepare. 0f said they need more time to prepare. In march he is due to go on trial in new york, that is a state case around claims that he used his business to hide hush money payments to a pawn star. Later he will go on trial in florida charged with espionage and obstruction charges, accused of holding onto classified documents after leaving office. That is something prosecutors federally say he shouldnt have been doing. Another case which is linked to this case in georgia, a federal case prosecuted in washington, dc, that is in and around efforts allegedly made by donald trump and others to steal the 2020 election, and conversations again in 2021 to frustrate that process. In the georgia case, no trial has been set and you wouldnt expect it to be for a little while now. A lot of it revolves around the conversation he had with the Secretary Of State for georgia on the 2nd Of January. Donald trump Secretary Of State for georgia on the 2nd Ofjanuary. Donald trump has described this as a perfect telephone call, but it was leaked and in it he asks the top election official to find 11,780 votes. These are the houses in lahaina that survived, and people here are in need of food. They dont have any fuel or power. We are here, just half a mile down there is where the main destruction took place. The search and Recovery Operation is still very much under way. The latest death toll is now approaching 100. But the authorities have been very clear about the fact that that will still rise. We have been told that federal Emergency Workers are on thr ground. We have been in lahaina today, we havent seen any evidence of that. Film i have ever seen in my life. It is still absolutely terrifying. Scariest film catcher ever. Think about that when you pay £9 million for the windmill carol can tell us how terrifying the weather is looking this morning. She is smiling, that is a good sign. Good morning. If you like it to dry, it is a mixture of sunshine and showers today, and some of us will miss the showers altogether. A cooler start, miss the showers altogether. A coolerstart, eight miss the showers altogether. A cooler start, eight or 9 degrees is what you can expect. Last nights rain is pulling away into the north sea, and a lot of dry weather. Some of the heavier showers today will be across South East Scotland and North East England. You could also hear the odd rumble of thunder coming out of those at times. Temperatures 15 to 25 Degrees North to south. Through this evening and overnight, many showers will fade. We will hang on to a bit more cloud across northern and Eastern Scotland with some patchy light rain here, and we can also see some mist and fog patches forming as well, particularly across parts of the south and also the west. And these are our overnight lows, 11 13. Tomorrow we hang on to a bit of the cloud across northern and Eastern Scotland, still with some patchy rain. Tomorrow is also going to be a day of sunshine and showers, but there will be fewer showers around then we are looking at today, the mist and fog lifting quickly through the course of the morning. Temperatures up a little bit in the south, we are up to 26, but generally looking at 1a to about 23 degrees. Then as we head into thursday, again still a lot of dry weather around, there will be some fog first thing is well and also some showers dotted around, not that many, but the temperature again around 2a or 25, possibly even as high as 26 or 27, depending on the sunshine amounts. The Daily Telegraph reports how the childrens commissioner for england is calling for young peoples views on the pandemic to be at the heart of the covid inquiry. The daily mails front page contains a warning for parents over dangerous tiktok trends. It follows comments by the new chairwoman of the association of police and crime commissioners, donna jones, who says parents need to stop their children from taking part in the behaviour. This is where a tiktok will suggest some sort of activity, and the kids head out and apparently do it. One of the most read articles on the bbc news website this morning is about an explosion and fire at a Petrol Station in Dagestan In Southern Russia which has killed at least 27 people. The cause of the incident is not yet known. And just a few hours before the Lionesses Take On Australia in the world cup, a young Alessia Russo is pictured on the daily mirrors spread alongside her two elder brothers wearing italy shirts. The paper says it was the players italian grandfather who inspired her love of football but both her brothers have since changed allegiance and now proudly wear shirts with her name on their back. I think that is allowed the italy kit is so cool. It is such a nice shirt, why not wear it . And take a look at this the annual Perseids Meteor Shower crossing the night sky over austria. It occurs every august when the earth passes through debris and dust of the swift tuttle comet. Isnt that beautiful . And you saw it last night . I saw it last night. I am so excited. 0r i saw it last night. I am so excited. Or at least i think i did. Im not sure. We spoke about it with the professor yesterday, and he said where to look, look at the sky north east, which i did last night, and there was little break in the clouds, and i definitely saw what looked like lots of little tiny shooting stars. It was beautiful. I didnt take a picture, ijust enjoyed the moment. So you have no evidence of this but it was magical. It didnt look like that. What was it sort of nine, ten . Break in the clouds. As the countdown to the new term begins many parents might be pulling out last years uniform to see if its good for another year, or its time for some Back To School shopping. From next month all schools in england are expected to follow new laws which aim to help protect parents from unaffordable costs. But the bbc has found theres been very little change in uniform policies as our education reporter Vanessa Clark explains. Theres the pe socks, theres the pe top, short sleeved and long sleeved obviously to allow for summer and winter. Plans to keep the cost of uniforms down was welcome news tojill long. But even after a complaint to the Department Of Education about her schools uniform policy, which resulted in some changes, the bill for her is still too high. The pe kit is £93 if you buy shorts, tracksuit bottoms, and the long and short sleeve top. There should be a maximum number of items, which is a lot simpler to comply with. Parents are having to spend money on branded clothes when in my head that money would be much better spent on educational things, music lessons, better football boots, art equipment, Educational School trips. I just think spending it on a branded Clothing Item for the schools vanity purposes is just unnecessary. So these are branded items, anything with the characteristic that is unique to a school. So the blazer with the logo, the tie or the pleated skirt, anything that cant be bought from a range of shops. The law says the number of these items on a School Uniform list now needs to be kept to a minimum. Ive got the tie, ive got the pe top and ive got the skirt as well. Come on a free uniform is being given to every new starter at this academy in doncaster and students in other years are receiving items too. But getting rid of branded items is off the cards. Branded items can be important in some cases because in effect they can be cheaper. Theyre a leveller. Just by saying its these trousers or this blazer, it stops it being anything else, and it actually means its cheaper. Although that sometimes seems like it shouldnt be the case, it actually is. But a bbc survey using teacher tapp shows there has been little change in School Uniform policies in the last two years. The industry, which has worked with the Department For Education to form the new guidance, disagrees the law was too vague. I think its really important to give schools the latitude to choose what they have within a framework. Its because actually you need Different Things in Different School environments. For example, a rural school up in the north of cumbria will probably have a different requirement for their uniform than an Inner City School in london. And youve got to give the schools the opportunity to manage that effectively. Manufacturers and second hand uniform shops are preparing for a busy few weeks as the countdown to the new school term begins. Vanessa clarke, bbc news. Residents who live near a pub in north london that burnt down five years ago say they feel abandoned in the fight to get it rebuilt. The previous owners of thejester in cockfoster were ordered by the courts to rebuild a pub on the site but they then sold it for £1 million. Multiple Planning Applications have since been refused by the council. A spokesman for Barnet Council said they had Very Little Say over what is built on the site of thejestor pub, as long as it is a community facility. Next, its emerged that london is bucking the trend when it comes to installing on street Charging Points for Electric Vehicles. A Freedom Of Information Investigation by the car Maker Vauxhall shows that over 70 of councils across the country have no strategy in place to install on street charging. But the capital will soon be home to over 19,000 Charging Points, thats more than double the number across the rest of the country. Now, voting has opened for the public to pick their Tree Of The Year for the annual Woodland Trust award. This crouch oak in addlestone has made the shortlist. Its over 800 years old. Now onto the weather with kate kinsella. Good morning. Its a fine, dry and sunny start this morning. The cloud will bubble up however and that brings the chance of one or two showers as we head further through the day. But as you can see, theres not much cloud around at all first thing. We have got a light to moderate westerly breeze, the cloud gradually bubbling up, we will see one or two showers. Not everywhere seeing those, however, and in the sunny spells, temperatures feeling warm, 2a celsius the maximum temperature. The shower risk will fade into this evening. Its largely dry and clear, one or two patches of cloud but under the clear skies, mightjust get one or two mist and fog patches as well. The minimum temperature dropping to 10 celsius. Any mist and fog will clear first thing tomorrow morning. It is looking largely fine and dry but we will once again see the cloud bubbling up, the chance of one or two showers, an easterly breeze developing tomorrow which mightjust make it feel a little cooler along the essex coast. Temperatures tomorrow getting up to 25 celsius. It is going to start to feel more humid as we head further through the week. A dry day for thursday, the chance of some heavy, thundery showers for friday. Thats all from us here for now. Well be back in half an hour, but for now ill hand you back to sally and jon. Hello this is breakfast withjon kay and sally nugent. We get an idea of how the uk jobs market is faring today with the release of the latest Unemployment Figures. Emma is in skegness for us this morning. The sun is shining, lovely. Its a beautiful morning the sun is shining, lovely. Its a beautiful morning here. The sun is shining, lovely. Its a beautiful morning here. We the sun is shining, lovely. Its a| beautiful morning here. We have the sun is shining, lovely. It s. Beautiful morning here. We have just beautiful morning here. We havejust been watching the sunrise over the fairground here, and we have got the pier all to ourselves. I think all of the tourists today will have a lovely day in store. There are one or two people taking an Early Morning walk along the beach. After the pandemic, the british staycation saw something of a resurgence, people choosing to take their holidays at home. What did that mean for seaside resorts . They had lots of vacancies to fill, popularity staying at home instead of going abroad. But one of the things we have seen is a challenge for recruitment. Why are Seaside Towns are struggling to fill some of those jobs . That is one of the questions we are going to be asking this morning. That has been an issue here in skegness. We will be getting the Unemployment Figures just after 7am. 0ne Unemployment Figures just after 7am. One of the things we saw in terms of wages for Seaside Towns as they are lower than the week uk average. Its about £30,000 per year, 3000 lower than the uk average. 0ne its about £30,000 per year, 3000 lower than the uk average. One of the challenges with recruitment is the challenges with recruitment is the old problem that wages are not keeping up with inflation. Wages have been rising relatively quickly but they are not keeping up with price rises. People are struggling to afford The Cost Of Living. Unemployment remains relatively low at the moment across the uk, but its a challenge of recruitment which is something we have been looking at here in skegness and finding out what that means for the local economy. For the past few summers, our Seaside Towns have enjoyed something of a boom. Two more chips, please, chef. Nice one. In skegness, theyve built a new caravan park to cope with a rise in demand. But the challenge is finding enough people to work here. To support The Cost Of Living crisis, we have had to adapt our wage offering. And that included a 5 pay increase for all the team across haven, alongside the National Living wage and also the minimum wage. We felt thats really supporting the team that most need it during this time of crisis. Seasonal work means more flexibility, but taja wishes there were more opportunities. Yes, it is seasonal, which is a downside. If it became, if Caravan Parks were allowed to stay open a little longer or all year, yeah, id gladly, id gladly do all year. Across the uk, unemployment is at levels not seen since the 19705, but there are still millions of adults out of work in skegness. Nearly a third of people aged 16 to 6a are classed as economically inactive. That is not in work or looking for a job. Its above the uk average of just over 21 . We have got employment out there for people but its just making sure that we match, we can match those people to the jobs that are available. Sometimes people might have health conditions, so we need to work with them a little bit more intensely. So weve got Disability Employment Advisers and weve got special people that are trained to support people with health issues. While there is some suggestion the so called Staycation Boom is starting to tail off, there remains a high demand for workers here. But questions remain over the high number of people seemingly choosing not to work. The director of finance for Skegness Pier is here, this is a lovely place to work. , , to work. Yes, the sunshine is beautiful to work. Yes, the sunshine is beautiful. How to work. Yes, the sunshine is beautiful. How has to work. Yes, the sunshine is beautiful. How has this to work. Yes, the sunshine is l beautiful. How has this season to work. Yes, the sunshine is beautiful. How has this season been for Visitor Numbers beautiful. How has this season been for Visitor Numbers because beautiful. How has this season been for Visitor Numbers because it beautiful. How has this season been for Visitor Numbers because it has. For Visitor Numbers because it has been a rainyjuly . It for Visitor Numbers because it has been a rainy july . Been a rainy july . It has been tricky with been a rainy july . It has been tricky with the been a rainy july . It has been tricky with the weather, been a rainy july . It has been tricky with the weather, its i been a rainy july . It has been. Tricky with the weather, its been difficult for people to enjoy a day at the seaside when its raining but there is so much on offer it, there are lots of indoor activities for people to enjoy regardless stop we are seeing vacancies in Seaside Towns, what is recruitment like for you . It can be difficult with seasonal roles, people want something which is all year round and we are able to do that but we do struggle to fill managerial roles with this being on the coast. People feel that skilled roles arent necessarily something that exist on the coast but they do and that is probably one of our most difficult areas to fill. If probably one of our most difficult areas to fill. Areas to fill. If you have tourists cominu areas to fill. If you have tourists coming for areas to fill. If you have tourists coming for holidays areas to fill. If you have tourists coming for holidays but areas to fill. If you have tourists coming for holidays but you areas to fill. If you have tourists coming for holidays but you are | areas to fill. If you have tourists i coming for holidays but you are not able to fill vacancies as quickly as you would like, what effect does that have on the business . It is difficult, that have on the business . It is difficult. It that have on the business . It is difficult, it means that have on the business . It is difficult, it means we that have on the business . It 3 difficult, it means we are quite stretched. It doesnt necessarily mean that the customer sees anything but underneath it is really difficult for us to maintain that. That level of service for people. What about wages . We have been hearing that wages for p Seaside Towns, you get the benefit of living in a beautiful place and enjoy morning like this but wages are below the uk average, how do you make it attractive for people . Since covid it is really make it attractive for people . Since covid it is really attractive make it attractive for people . Since covid it is really attractive to covid it is really attractive to come and live on the coast, the beautiful fresh air, this come and live on the coast, the beautifulfresh air, this beach is amazing, the standard of living is really good, and its cheaper to live. But we do offer good salaries and lots of businesses in the area are very competitive. Its tricky to get over the idea that the good jobs and good money is not here. {line get over the idea that the good obs and good money is not here. One of the thins and good money is not here. One of the things we and good money is not here. One of the things we are and good money is not here. One of the things we are talking and good money is not here. One of the things we are talking about and good money is not here. One of the things we are talking about is i the things we are talking about is since the pandemic, there are high numbers of what are classed as economically inactive people, that can mean a lot of things but a lot of people who came out of the jobs market and didnt return to it. Is that a pattern you have seen as well . , ,. , well . Yes, its definitely more difficult to well . Yes, its definitely more difficult to recruit. Well . Yes, its definitely more difficult to recruit. There i well . Yes, its definitely more difficult to recruit. There are l well . Yes, its definitely more i difficult to recruit. Alan shearer s move for 15 million from blackburn to newcastle for 15 million in 1996 was at the time a new record. Then in recent years weve seen the rise of the £100 million player, Jack Grealish hitting that dizzying sum making the move from aston villa to Manchester Ciy in the summer of 2020. The Opening Weekend of the new premier League Season was rounded off with Manchester United beating wolves at old trafford last night. One goal in this win coming from an unliekly source from an unlikely source in the shape of rafa varane, with new wolves manager gary 0neil, having taken overjust days before the start of the season, opening with a defeat. It looked like a foul. So ijust think if you go for the ball and you miss it, and clatter into an opposing player that hard, ijust dont see how its not a foul. So i think they were fortunate to get away with that one probably. Yeah, disappointed it didnt go our way because it would have been the least we deserved really to score a last minute equaliser and leave it 1 1. A big a8 hours to come at the womens world cup. Sweden face spain for a spot in sundays final today. Before england then face australia at 11. 30 tomorrow morning, for the right to join the winners. Jane dougall is in sydney for us this morning. England arejust england are just one game away and farfrom easy when england are just one game away and far from easy when they face a huge home crowd tomorrow. Yes, both at the camps are playing the rivalry down, but the fans are not. The tensions are building in sydney because there is a little bit of history because between these two history there is a little bit of history there is a little bit of history between these two countries when it comes to sport, the ashes, the netball final, and now we have this Epic Battle Between Australia and england in the womens world cup semifinal. And the support is going to be huge at Stadium Australia. Everywhere we go in this country, the support for the the matildas has been enormous. Imagine being a lioness and in sydney and having to live with an australian this is aussie steve grant. Hes married to kate, who is english. Their son ed is a matildas fan. And kate is still trying to persuade their dog badger to support the lionesses. I do sometimes feel outnumbered. This is the first time really when its been a dogfight, england against australia. The family are going to the semifinal and it might get quite tense. Kates been trying to convert ed, asking why wont he support england . Because i was born in australia and most of my mates and friends go for australia as well. You wouldnt even do itjust for me, even though youre half english . Yeah, but i grew up in australia, so. 0k, 0k well, the matildas feel its their time. A home tournament and this is the furthest theyve been in the world cup. But the lionesses are the european champions. They are in a world cup semifinal for the third time and theyre hungry for more silverware. The two countries are fierce rivals, despite their many similarities. But right now, the grant family can only see differences. Vegemite. Marmite. English Breakfast Tea . No way. Kate supports england, i support australia, so theres always a difference, isnt there . Lucky they dont play together that often, do they . Big competition. Well, apart From The Ashes and the netball. But it hasnt really been a massive issue in this family until this wednesday. Thats right. So well see who wins. But im pretty sure i know whos going to win. If england get knocked out, ill definitely support australia, definitely. Yeah, ill support. Oh, youre not quite as certain, are you . No, i wont be excited, but ill support them. Is that because of me . No, its because anyone thats grown up in australia, the team that you always want to beat is england. Kates last hope for an ally is badger. But even the family dog is sticking to his australian roots. Reluctant support from the aussies a lot of things are stacked in australias favour, they are in the inform team, they have been playing so well despite the fact they have not had their star striker sam kerr because of injury, she is expected to be fit enough to play to start against england, and we cannot fail to mention the support. Stadium australia is going to be majority matildas fans watching on but the lioness is will have to up their Game Noise Ways are going to have to up Game Noise Ways are going to have to up their game noise wise when the whistle kicks off. They are the european champions and even without laurenjames, who is suspended for this match, their top scorer, they have shown that they can grind out results particularly against tough physical lower ranked teams, may be like australia. They say the best possible teams peek at the right time of a tournament. Looking at the other semifinal, time of a tournament. Looking at the othersemifinal, spain time of a tournament. Looking at the other semifinal, spain against sweden. Spain have had a lot of problems between their coaches so it has been quite an emotionaljourney forfor them, they have had quite a few problems in the lead up to the tournament but they have several world class players playing for them. Sweden are the highest ranked country left in the tournament, one of the favourites to take the trophy. They put the usa out in the last 16 and they put japan out as well in the quarterfinal so those are two previous winners. That kicks off at 9am british time. By the end off at 9am british time. By the end of today, england will know who they will face in the final if they are to get past australia tomorrow in what will be their toughest match yet. Today marks 25 years since the worst single atrocity during three decades of violence in Northern Ireland. 29 people including a woman who was pregnant with twins were murdered in a Car Bomb Attack in 0magh in county tyrone. To mark the anniversary, two survivors, Rachel Galbraith and kate walls, challenged themselves to a charity skydive. 0ur ireland correspondent chris page went to meet them. Well, weve known each other about 32 years, and actually we became friends through my cousin. It was just one night. Your birthday . Yeah, we bonded. We bonded. We were going to do travelling and, you know, all that. And then, unfortunately, then the bomb happened. The 0magh bombing happened on a saturday afternoon. It was carried out by a Paramilitary Group called the real ira. The bomb was left in a car on the main street. I had been working that day and then kate was coming injust to meet me. And then she was going to go on and i told her to wait. Back then, there was always bomb scares. Thats all you heard that day was people going, oh, god, another bomb scare. And it was wanting to get back to what they were doing. The last thing i remember saying to rachel was, im not standing here. Im going to go home. And that was the last thing i remember saying to you. Whenever i came around, she wasnt standing beside me any more. Shed been blown right across the road. Kate and rachel were among more than 200 people who were injured. We were both in different hospitals. That was a saturday. And i rememberall i kept thinking was rachel, wheres rachel . We didnt know where rachel was. So it was about maybe four or five days later that a nurse came over to the bed, brought me a phone, and it was the first time then about four or five days after the bomb that i heard rachels voice. And as soon as i picked up the phone and i heard hervoice, ijust burst into tears. Yeah. Kate then, as i say, whenever she spoke to me, it was the same. I was just tears, do you know what i mean . You know, because we were just so relieved that we were both 0k. So what have the last 25 years now been like for you both and how have you been able to support each other . I think the fact of it being that The Two Of Us was in it together, you know, we understood each other, you know, between having our bad days or good days. For me, it meant as much as i wouldnt. I wished you werent there, but i wasnt on my own. I knew that i had rachel. This week, 0magh is commemorating people lost and lives changed. Earlier this year, kate and rachel decided to raise money for a Trauma Support Group called wave. 25 years ago, we were both in our 20s, and as rachel would say, we were two young women who were supposed to be enjoying life. So of course we made plans and one of them was motorbike lessons. Coming up then we were talking for the 25th anniversary, we did mention, what about the other thing we were talking about . And that was the skydiving and you did agree. So when you were up there and about to take that jump, what was it like . What was in your head . I did look out the window and you do remember why youre here today. This nearly didnt happen because it could have gone either way. And the fact that we were doing it together after what wed gone through. And then when the door opened and youre just looking and then youre just gone and i loved it. I was like, free. The sense of freedom. The skyjump for us doing it together, it was a statement for The Two Of Us. You know, The Two Of Us are still strong. You know, we can do this because over the years ive had a lot of surgeries myself, a few more now to go through. And its a fact of whenever you go in for surgery, you just think to yourself, why, what was this all for . You do feel so angry, you wished it had never had happened . But were here and its made us all the stronger. And some people just werent so lucky unfortunately. I lost my leg and i had a few more amputations after that. You automatically think, well, this is why, its because of that day. Today, you know, im. I know whats going to sound weird. I wish i wasnt there that day, but im proud of my scars. Im proud of, yes, that i have a limb because you know what, thats me, thats my story, that is my history. Time doesnt take away the grief, pain and heartbreak, but theres a sense of a slow shift over the last 25 years that people want this town to be known for humanity amidst the horror, for courage after the tragedy. Chris page, bbc news. Well done to rachel and kate, 25 years on. Coming up. Counting the cost of going Back To School. Well ask if a new law which aims to reduce spending on School Uniforms in england is making a difference. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Hello, good morning from bbc london. Im victoria cook. Residents who live near a pub in north london that burnt down five years ago say they feel abandoned in the fight to get it rebuilt. The previous owners of thejester in cockfoster were ordered by the courts to rebuild a pub on the site, but they then sold it for £1 million. Multiple Planning Applications have since been refused by the council. A spokesman for Barnet Council said they had Very Little Say over what is built on the site of the pub as long as it is a community facility. Next, its emerged that london is bucking the trend when it comes to installing on street Charging Points for Electric Vehicles. A Freedom Of Information Investigation by the carMaker Vauxhall shows that over 70 of councils across the country have no strategy in place to install on street charging. But the capital will soon be home to over 19,000 Charging Points thats more than double the number across the rest of the country. They are very serious charges and we dont know how much meat is on the bones because not even Donald Trumps defence team has yet received disclosure and discovery of the documents. In terms of a timeline, we would expect in the next few days that he would appear in court for the arraignment, the first stage of any criminal trial process, where he would presumably plead not guilty because he has had his other cases. As you say, it hasnt been a surprise, but it certainly is significant, and the police now say they are working towards their worst Case Scenario after this data leak, that the information is in the hands of dissident republican Paramilitary Groups who are opposed to the peace process. Just to remind you of the heightened Dangers Police face here in the course of doing their work, many watching the programme this morning will be preparing for your journey to your workplace. Police here when they set off, they have to rip vary in theirjourney to work each day, they have to check underneath their cars in case a bomb has been put there. So that gives you an idea thatjust in normal day to day life, Police Officers in this part of the uk have to take extra precautions perhaps compared with their counterparts elsewhere, so that is why this data leak has particularly serious consequences. So for the Senior Leadership of the Police Service of Northern Ireland, the Chief Constable simon byrne and their team, they are now working through Risk Assessments for officers to see exactly what the implications are for employees here. There is a particular risk for certain groups within the force, for Example Officers who Work Undercover. It is a week now since this crisis broke into the news, it was last tuesday that the data was mistakenly leaked online, and since then the concerns the have grown. Chris, thank you very much indeed. A 10 Year Old Girl found dead at a house in surrey has been named locally as sara sharif. Her body was discovered at the property last thursday. The police say the three people they want to talk to were known to her and are now abroad. A Postmortem Examination will take place this afternoon. The union which represents University Lecturers and staff has announced that it will step up its Strike Action in the autumn unless employers agree to meet for further talks. The university and College Union has decided to continue to boycott the marking of students coursework and exams. It will also press ahead with multiple walk outs next month. Some branded food and drink products in supermarkets have more than doubled in price over the last 12 months according to new research from which . The Consumer Group analysed the prices of almost 26,000 products at eight major supermarkets. Its calling on businesses to stock more budget range alternatives. A bit of movie history is going on sale. A windmill that was used in the film hitty chitty bang bang has gone up for sale. You can move into it. You can buy it Cobstone Windmill was the home of Caractacus Potts played by dick van dyke. Its in the village of ibstone in buckinghamshire and has a guide price of £9 million. Lets buy it together, maybe we can afford it then. With everyone who is watching it is incredible, but i have to say that is the scariest film i have ever seen. I watched it as a child, and the Child Catcher is burned on my brain. You might have nightmares if you live there. Ican i can feel the terror. But is 1a minutes past seven, i dont know whether it is windmill weather. Heres carol with a look at this mornings weather. We have got lighter winds today. Many of us are starting off with blue skies, as you can see from one of our Weather Watcher pictures taken in leeds, but there are showers in the forecast and we will certainly see more cloud bubbling up as we go through that course of the day. Scattered showers, but dont take where you see them on this chart is gospel. We could catch them almost anywhere but most of us wont. The heaviest will be across North East England in South East Scotland as we go across the course of the day, one or two in Northern Ireland and other parts of scotland, in wales and anywhere in england as well. Most of us will miss them. If there are going to be any runs of thunder, they are more likely across South East Scotland and North East England, and in light winds if you are in the sunshine it will feel quite pleasant. Temperatures today raising from 15 in the north to 25 in the south east. Through this evening and overnight, many of the showers will fade, and we will hang on to a fair bit of cloud across North Eastern parts of scotland, some patchy light rain here, a little mist and fog forming, particularly in Western Parts of the south, and these are our overnight lows, 11 13. Tomorrow the mist and fog will lift quickly, and we are in for another largely dry day with sunny spells, some fair weather cloud bubbling up through the course of the day, thick enough for the odd shower, and we will still have some thick cloud across the far north east of scotland, with some light, patchy rain. Temperatures tomorrow ranging from 1a in the north to about 26 as we push down towards the south. Beyond that we noticed the temperatures start to climb a little bit more, and it will turn more humid in southern areas, but that does not mean it is going to be bone dry, particularly on friday and saturday. Thank you, carol. The latest Unemployment Figures have just been released, and emma is in skegness for us. What can you tell us . For us. What can you tell us . These are the figures for us. What can you tell us . These are the figures they for us. What can you tell us . These are the figures they get for us. What can you tell us . These are the figures they get released i are the figures they get released every quarter and they tell us about how many people are in employment and what the Labour Market is looking like. That is important for a number of reasons. A few things going on this morning. First of all the Unemployment Figures, one of those markers we always look at. Unemployment is up slightly to a. 2 , but the Bigger Picture is that employment is comparatively low. But Thatis Employment is comparatively low. But that is not the whole story. Another trend we have been seeing recently over the past year, vacancies have been pretty high. There are high numbers of people classed as economically inactive, not looking for a job, economically inactive, not looking forajob, not economically inactive, not looking for a job, not seeking work, and that has been causing problems for employers. The figures out today, one of the headlines tells us that long term sickness, people on long term sickness, people on long term sick, has increased to a record high. Various theories behind why this is. We did see lots of people coming out of work during the pandemic, and not so many people were turning to work, and that is causing problems for recruitment. Another figures we look at, pay packets. How much are we getting paid, how much do wages go up by . Wages have been increasing relatively quickly, and that continues. Today pay packets have increased by 7. 8 , going up relatively fast. That is the highest annual growth rate since records began in 2001, youd think that would be good news, but in real terms wages have been diminishing because the prices of things, particularly food, have been going up particularly food, have been going up so quickly, the wage you get in your pocket doesnt feel like it is worth as much. So that is the take away from the latest employment figures out today. Emma, thank you very much indeed for those updates. We will go back to skegness and talk to emma later in the programme. Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women under the age of 35, with regular screening helping to reduce the risk of getting the disease by 70 . Now Health Campaigners in wales are calling on the government to introduce at home screening, in the hope that it would encourage more people to get tested. Megan davies has this report. As somebody who has suffered a lot of past trauma, i found the thought of having my smear test made me feel sick. 25 year old katy jackson uses social media to talk about her pain. She lives with endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome, two conditions which can mean having her smear test is incredibly painful. Ive kind ofjust had to get used to it because i had to have these tests done. And then a few months ago i had my smear test and i did tell the nurse that i have suspected endometriosis because i hadnt had my surgery yet and she didnt really know what endometriosis was. So she did my smear test and it was very painful. But then you just expect it obviously to get up and leave. And then i cried in my car for about half an hour because the pain was just so bad. Katie is one of hundreds of people who have signed a petition calling on the Welsh Government to introduce hpv Self Sampling Tests that people could do in their own homes. We hear about endometriosis and how uncomfortable it can be. We hear about sexual trauma. Weve also heard about the cultural barriers as well, and even the generational sort of barriers in terms of stigma. It would never remove the traditional way of testing. It would be an option if you wanted to do it at home or if you wanted to go for the traditional way of testing. And i think thats what the important thing is here, is that we wanted to ensure that everyone with a cervix has the power to choose how they test. While Self Sampling Tests arent currently available in wales, research is under way to see how any developments would work. We have to ensure that we also have the right Information Available for women. This for some women, doing a test at home and waiting for a result could be quite anxiety inducing. We need to ensure that actually we offer the right information for women so that they know why theyre taking their test, how to take that test, and how are they going to get their results, and what happens if it does show that they have hpv . Where can they get Support Advice . Theres a little bit of work that we need to look at in terms of our processes and our logistics within the uk to ensure that this is embedded safely and effectively within our Larger National Screening Programmes. The Welsh Government says it follows Expert Advice when it comes to screening, adding that Public Health wales is investigating how Self Sampling would be implemented if it was recommended. For katie in wrexham, being able to choose how and where she has a test in future would be a game changer. This petition, with its hundreds of signatures, including katies, would be discussed in the senedd by the Petition Committee at a later date. That was megan davies reporting there. Were joined now by one of our resident gps, dr helen wall. Good morning. Surely anything that lets more good morning. Surely anything that gets more smear good morning. We are looking all the time to try and improve i thing . Absolutely. We are looking| all the time to try and improve our Screening Uptake for all Screening Programmes, cervicalsmears Screening Uptake for all Screening Programmes, Cervical Smears being one. We know that the Screening Programme saves around about 5000 lives a year, and that could be much higher if we could get increased uptake, because one in three women currently dont come forward on an average, and in london only 50 to come forward for their Screening Tests. This could be huge. Come forward for their Screening Tests. This could be huge. There are lots of reasons tests. This could be huge. There are lots of reasons why tests. This could be huge. There are lots of reasons why women tests. This could be huge. There are lots of reasons why women think i tests. This could be huge. There are i lots of reasons why women think they just dont want to go. What are the reasons you hear about . The reasons we hear about reasons you hear about . The reasons we hear about our reasons you hear about . The reasons we hear about our embarrassment, i we hear about our embarrassment, because honestly you have to get to seminaked and have that procedure done. Fear, not really knowing what to expect, particularfor women not knowing what is going to happen. Will it be uncomfortable, will it be embarrassed, will it be a man or a woman taking the smear . Is a fear of the unknown. And also there are cultural barriers as well, culturally it may not be an accepted test. So there are lots of barriers, but also we cant forget about the convenience aspect of this, with everything that we do with screening. 0ur lives are much busier than they once were, and we are in a cost of living crisis, people cant take time off work, cant afford childcare, have no one to leave the children with. So there are lots of practical reasons why women may not be coming forward is for that smear. How reliable are the at home versions of the screening . There are a few pilots and to research being carried out since 2021 on this, one called the hpv validated test, which is looking at women taking their own sample and then having the sample taken again in a clinic and looking at how reliable that is, and all of that will be brought in under the uk National Screening committee deciding whether it is a valid test that could be done at home. find deciding whether it is a valid test that could be done at home. It is a swab test at the end of the day, so i think it would be fairly simple, and as it said on the vt, we will have to educate women how to do this test. 0ne educate women how to do this test. One thing that strikes me is that although women can do the hpv test at home, what happens in a normal smear test is you have a smear test done, the lab tested for hpv which is the virus which causes the majority of cervical cancer, and then they look at the cells if youre positive for that, so it will still involve women then coming forward for further tests, doing the test at home will not tell you one way or another whether you have cancer, it will tell you whether you are high risk and then you will have to go on and have further testing. So it would narrow down the number of women that have to come into clinics, but it will eradicate it wont eradicate the use of further testing. 50 wont eradicate the use of further testinu. ,. ,. , testing. So it is important that if this is the way testing. So it is important that if this is the way forward, testing. We have also been talking this morning on the programme about i morning on the programme about weight loss apps and how four particular apps are being looked at at the moment for formal use with the ability to prescribe weight loss injections, which we talk about a lot at the moment. What you think about that . How in demand of the services in the nhs . About that . How in demand of the services in the nhs . Obesity is very fast becoming services in the nhs . Obesity is very fast becoming our services in the nhs . Obesity is very fast becoming our next services in the nhs . Obesity is very fast becoming our next pandemic. L fast becoming our next pandemic. Lots and lots of people are struggling with obesity, and it is deemed an illness in itself. I think it is very glib of Health Care Professional sometimes to say, you just need to eat less or move more. It is very difficult thing for people to do, particularly with all the other pressures in society. It doesnt work for everybody. The key with these apps is there is a lot to it, notjust the weight loss. Everybody is focusing on the weight loss drug, and they have their place and have been shown to be effective, but there was a lot more to these apps. If you look at the pilots up have been done with the apps, people who carried on with them for at least 12 weeks all lost weight. The problem is people drop out of it, so they might download the app and start it but they dont stick to it. So i think it is about psychology, nutrition, dietary advice, psychological support, and the drug is a separate thing that will be available there as well. find is a separate thing that will be available there as well. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Hello, good morning from bbc london, im victoria cook. A spokesman for Barnet Council said they had Very Little Say over what is built on the site of the pub, as long as it is a community facility. What are you going to do about that . L you going to do about that . I havent seen those figures, they may well have broken whilst we were on air so i cant comment. I do know that as theirformer air so i cant comment. I do know that as their former dwp minister albeit several years ago, the government has extensive plans. The Secretary Of State for work and pensions are set to beat out only a few weeks to go around supporting and empowering people into work. The role that job and empowering people into work. The role thatjob coaches do in job centres up and down the country supporting people into the right kind of work, and the world of work is changing. So there are opportunities to work from home and opportunities to work from home and opportunities to work remotely that were not there just a few years ago. I know that work coaches are working with those who may not be able to do some work but are able to do other work and working very intensively with them to empower as many people as possible back into work. Thank ou for as possible back into work. Thank you forjoining as possible back into work. Thank you forjoining us. It is 7 39am. John is able to sport. We are talking about crazy numbers. Particularly from chelsea who are breaking all records with the business they are doing in the transfer window, Moises Caicedo, 170 millions, a new transfer record in britain. Enzo fernandez for a inaccessible hundred million but its staggering in the way that chelsea are changing the market in many ways. That business looks set to continue with romeo lavia. find to continue with romeo lavia. And the are to continue with romeo lavia. Jifuc they are pipping liverpool to continue with romeo lavia. 2. 1c they are pipping liverpool to all of these players. Pare they are pipping liverpool to all of these maven they are pipping liverpool to all of these players these players. Are they trying to restrict their these players. Are they trying to restrict their rivals . These players. Are they trying to restrict their rivals . If these players. Are they trying to restrict their rivals . If chelsea i restrict their rivals . If chelsea want to do any further business, they have got the deep pockets and they have got the deep pockets and they are setting the bar very high, club is demanding what they want all players now when chelsea are going shopping. Chelsea have ushered in a period of unprecedented spending in english football, with records tumbling. And im sure many watching will wonder, how can it continue . Lets cast our minds back to 1979 Trevor Francis became the first Million Pound player, joining Nottingham Forest from birmingham city. Alan shearer s move for 15 million from blackburn to newcastle in 1996 was at the time a new record. In recent years weve seen the rise of the £100 million player, Jack Grealish hitting that dizzying sum, making the move from aston villa to Manchester Ciy in the summer of 2020. Now dwarfed by that monster deal of £115 million for Moises Caicedo by chelsea. Clubs in saudi arabia have moved into the market too. Brazils Superstar Neymar, who remains the most expensive player of all time, is the latest to head to their pro league. Hes on the verge ofjoining al hilalfor 77 million. Paris Saint Germain having paid 200 million for him six years ago. Manchester united no strangers to spending big beat wolves 1 0 last night. Its ten years since they last won a league title and there were protests from fans before the game over the clubs ownership and the future of player Mason Greenwood, as ben croucher reports. We want glazers out, say we want glazers out its a new season, but at Manchester United, the owners remain the same. With the protracted sale of the club by the glazer family still not resolved before a ball was even kicked, supporters found their voice. But are the club listening . 18 years of debt and, you know, weve had enough. We want them gone. Itsjust such a big club, and its unsettling. They dont care about the club, they care about money. They dont care about us. Thats not the only issue. Earlier this year, charges against forward Mason Greenwood including attempted rape and assault were dropped. The club has delayed a decision on whether or not to reintegrate him back into the squad, wanting to consult Key Stakeholders including members of the womens team. It has divided the fan base. I dont really care about the legal situation. About contracts, this is about ethics, its about morality. Its about the fact that if you want to play for the greatest club in the world, you have to set a high standard. We hope there is consideration of the views and experiences of women who are affected by issues around Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault to be part of the conversations and decisions that are made by the club about greenwoods return. If he wasnt as good a player as he was, hed be straight out of the door. Despite fans unease at the situation off the field, there are hopes that on it, they can build on their third place finish in the Premier League last season. Expectation was high against wolves, but after the likes of manchester city, arsenal and newcastle all won at the weekend, the pressure was too. The players did little to ease the tension, perhaps fortunate wolves were toothless in front of goal. But with 111 minutes to go, the deadlock was broken. Centre half Raphael Varane doing what the strikers couldnt. Not a perfect performance, but it gives those fans something to cheer about. Ben croucher, bbc news. United rounding up the Opening Weekend of mixtures with a win. Well, lets return to sydney now, where england face australia in the semi finals of the womens world cup tomorrow morning and join jane dougall who is there. Before that we had sweden against spain, the opening semifinal, but we know which match everyone really cares about. Know which match everyone really cares about know which match everyone really cares about. Absolutely. And it has been so lovely cares about. Absolutely. And it has been so lovely in cares about. Absolutely. And it has been so lovely in terms cares about. Absolutely. And it has been so lovely in terms of cares about. Absolutely. And it has been so lovely in terms of the been so lovely in terms of the development of the womens game to see the huge swell of support, not just here in sydney but across australia, for the matildas. Everywhere we have gone we have seen posters, advertisements including the matildas stars. Lots of matches or other sports have changed their time so they dont clutch with matildas games. Clash with matildas games. Clash with matilda games. It does not go so well if you are a lioness fan because the Stadium Australia will because the Stadium Australia will be packed out and filled with gold and green tomorrow. There will be an intimidating atmosphere as the lionesses will have, but they have faith that before. England trained today and keira walsh has said even though this is such a huge game, they arejust looking at though this is such a huge game, they are just looking at it as another match, not about a huge rivalry against australia. And mckenzie arnold, the matilda people, said something similar, but she did acknowledge the huge impact that the fans would make. Keeper. Being knocked out by anyone is kind of unthinkable. A lot of english people would like to see as knocked out by england but more australians would like to see england knocked out by us. In terms of the rivalry, we have such a big rivalry with so many Different Company countries, so its just another game for us. England are such a top team, but we have been taking one game at a time and it seems to be working for us so far so that will be the same tomorrow night. I think england fans might be looking for revenge after the ashes and the nipple as well. The other semifinal in spain the netball as well. The other semifinal is spain against sweden, sweden the favourites as they put the usa out and the other top team. In a few hours england will know who they might be facing in the final if they get past australia tomorrow, that is a big. Thank you very much, we will be back later on. With sweden playing spain this morning, we had to show you this. This is the head coach of sweden yesterday at the pre match press conference, or rather, leaving the press conference. At least, thats what he was trying to do. 0nly found his way into a broom cupboard, didnt he . He will hope his players find the girl better than he can work his way out of a room. Find the gold better. He will never live that down. Im sure the players are still winding him up about it a bit of pollen around this morning, carol . Yes, the Pollen Levels are high, so if you have an allergy to weed pollen, bearthat if you have an allergy to weed pollen, bear that in mind before you head out. Many starting on the dry note in some sunshine, as we are in guernsey, thank you for your Weather Watcher picture. A mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers today, the heaviest of which are going to be across North East England and South East Scotland. Low pressure that brought the rain is pulling away into the north sea, there is hardly an icy about so we are looking at light breezes. Starting with a lot of dry weather, a few showers knocking around but as we go to the day with their with clown developing we get a few more showers. Many of us will miss them altogether. Temperatures today ranging from 15 in the north to 25 in the south. This evening and overnight, the daytime showers will tend to fade, the exception will be in the north east of scotland where we will hang on to cloud with patchy light rain. We will also see some mist and fog patches. It will not be a cold night. Tomorrow, High Pressure plonked on top of us meaning things will be settled, not much in the way of wind. We hang onto the cloud in the north east of scotland with patchy rain. We will see a few showers developed elsewhere from the cloud bubbling up through the day, but they will not be as many as today. These other temperatures, 111 to 26 degrees. In the sunshine, that feel pleasantly warm. Moving on into thursday, still a lot of dry weather around, mist and fog to lift in the morning, and that will happen, it might be slower to clear from the south west. A lot of dry conditions, you will notice the wind direction will be cooler coming in on the north sea coast with the onshore breeze. Temperatures 111 to 211 with the onshore breeze. Temperatures 111 to 21; once again in the sunshine, feeling pleasantly warm. We are tapping into warmer air on the near continent, it will be crossing our shores through the next few days. Notjust from thursday and friday, we will have a lull on saturday as some Weather Fronts come in, but also into the weekend and next week. On friday we have two Weather Fronts coming our way, restaurant bringing some heavy and potentially thundery rain, is the first one bringing some heavy rain, and the second one doing exactly the same with a lull in between them. This onshore flow will be keeping it cool on the north sea coastline. 0n cool on the north sea coastline. On friday, the rain heavy in places, behind it a return to sunshine and showers. Humid in the south, that rain clears in the north east of scotland during the course of saturday. Then it will be a little bit fresher but behind the rain, sunshine and showers. A fairly decent day on sunday and getting warm once again. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Hello. Good morning from bbc london. Im victoria cook. Residents who live near a pub in north london that burnt down five years ago say they feel abandoned in the fight to get it rebuilt. The previous owners of thejester in cockfoster were ordered by the courts to rebuild a pub on the site but they then sold it for £1 million. Multiple Planning Applications have since been refused by the council. A spokesman for Barnet Council said they had Very Little Say over what is built on the site of the pub, as long as it is a community facility. Next, new figures show that london has more than double the number of on street Charging Points for Electric Vehicles compared to the rest of the country. The former us president is charged with 11 counts in georgia, over alleged attemtps to overturn the results of the 2020 election. The death toll in the hawaii wildfires rises to 99, as officials warn that number could double in the next few days. Good morning from sunny skegness. Todayis today is going to be a day of sunshine and scattered showers, the heaviest of which will be across North East England in South East Scotland where you could hear the odd rumble of thunder. And it is getting warmer in the next few days. All the details later in the programme. Good morning. Its tuesday the 15th of august. Our top story. The former us President Donald Trump has been served with a fresh set of charges accusing him of trying to overturn the results of the last us president ial election. He and 18 others have been indicted in the State Of Georgia on counts that include racketeering and forgery. Mr trump has previously denied any wrongdoing and said the case was politically motivated. 0ur North America correspondent sean dilley has the details. Thank you. Its the closest look we have had behind the scenes so far. This is the moment the judge approved the grand jurys decision to indict donald trump and 18 alleged conspirators on racketeering charges, the same laws used to prosecute mob bosses. Among mr trumps Co Defendants, his former white house chief of staff mark meadows and his former attorneys Rudy Giuliani and john eastman. Every individual charge on the indictment is charged with one count of violating georgias racketeer influenced and corrupt organisations act through participation in a criminal enterprise in Fulton County, georgia, and elsewhere to accomplish the illegal goal of allowing Donaldj Trump to see if the president ial term of Office Beginning onjanuary the 20th 2021. Speaking ahead of the indictment, the Trump Campaign said the timing of this latest coordinated strike by a biased prosecutor in an overwhelmingly democratic jurisdiction not only betrays the trust of the American People but also exposes true motivation driving their fabricated accusations. This is the fourth time the former president has been indicted. He is due to go on trial in new york next march charged over claims he used his business to hide hush money payments to a porn star. Two months later in may he will stand trial in Florida On Espionage and obstruction charges over claims he held onto classified papers after leaving office. Donald trump has already been charged by federal prosecutors in Washington Dc over allegations he tried to cheat the 2020 election. A trial date has not been set. His latest case centres around Racketeering Claims that he and 18 others worked to overturn georgias legitimate result. He denies all charges. Every time they file an indictment, we go way up in the polls. We need one more indictment to close out this election, one more indictment and this election is closed out. Nobody has even a chance. Cheering that was donald trump speaking at a Campaign Rally in alabama. Now he faces 91 counts in four separate criminal cases. This is the first court to allow cameras to film charges being filed. Is that it . Is it all you hoped it would be . Laughter sean dilley, bbc news, in washington. We can speak to our North America correspondent sean dilley in washington now. Sean, donald trump has faced several charges since he left the white house. How serious are these latest ones compared to the others . It is very serious in that it is a state prosecution at a federal one. All sorts of speculation, and it is speculation, the donald trump if elected president next year for 2025 could pardon himself from the federal cases, thatjust means the one that the Us Government prosecutes rather than a state, you cant do that in a state case. And it is absolutely extraordinary that racketeering charges are being used, because ultimately you would expect those to be targeted towards mafia bosses. Under georgia law you dont need a physical enterprise to be identified, but ultimately donald trump and his 18 Co Defendants are charged with working towards overturning the Election Results in georgia, so there is some overlap with his case in washington, but ultimately they are focusing on a call from the 2nd Of January ultimately they are focusing on a call from the 2nd Ofjanuary in 2021, when donald trump, the then president of the United States, had asked the top election official in georgia to find him 11,780 votes. Donald trump said that that leaked call was a perfect telephone conversation. Thank you very much for that update. It is six minutes past eight, and sally has more of this mornings news. Thank you, jon. 99 people are now known to have died in wildfires in hawaii but more than a thousand are still unaccounted for. There are warnings that the number could double in the next few days as Recovery Crews continue to search burnt out buildings on the island of maui. Sophie long sent this report from the island. This is one of the many unofficial aid hubs that have sprung up around lahaina. People are coming here to drop off supplies and coming to pick them up as well. These are the houses in lahaina that survived. People here are in need of food. They dont have any fuel or power. Were here and just half a mile down there is where the main destruction took place. The search and Recovery Operation is still very much under way. The latest death toll is now approaching 100, but the authorities have been very clear about the fact that that will still rise. Now, we have been told that federal Emergency Workers are on the ground. Weve been in lahaina today and we havent seen evidence of that, but what there is is an amazingly well organised grassroots volunteer operation which is doing their best to get supplies to people who really need them. It is devastating. You cant even fathom that right on the other side of that wall is to this day, there are corpses. Like it is literally right there. And i call my wife once a day, twice a day, because we are so busy, just here it is like a , 5 found. We cant wrap our heads around what has gone on. This was one of the most horrifying and lethal disasters to take place in the United States for many years. Nearly a week later, a search and Recovery Operation is ongoing, an indication of the devastation and the number of lives lost. It is a painstakingly difficult task, and its about to get harder. Another storm is on the way. Sophie long, bbc news, lahaina, maui. Nhs hospitals across england will have an extra 900 beds this winter. Thats according to the government, which has announced £250 million of funding as part of a two year plan to provide 5,000 beds. Critics say more money is needed to solve major issues with staffing and releasing patients into social care. Information mistakenly released in a major data breach is in the hands of dissident republicans, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland. The Chief Constable said he believed they could use the material which includes the surnames and initials of Serving Officers and staff to generate fear and intimidation. Simon jones has more. The worst fears of officers realised. After days of worry and uncertainty, confirmation that the personal details of 10,000 Police Service of Northern Ireland employees mistakenly posted online have been obtained by people who might want to do them harm. News revealed by the forces Chief Constable. We are now confident that the Workforce Data set is in the hands of dissident republicans, and its therefore planning assumption that they will use this list to generate fear and uncertainty as well as intimidating or targeting officers and staff. Sinn fein said extracts of the leaked information had been posted on a wall near a party office in belfast before being removed by staff. One psni support worker, speaking anonymously, said the data leak had had a huge effect on his family. It has brought on a level of panic that hasnt been around for a lot of years. Its given my partner issues as well. Shes concerned and is extremely panicked about me going to work. In march, the Terrorist Threat level in Northern Ireland was raised to severe, meaning an attack is highly likely. That followed the shooting of a senior detective, john caldwell, by dissident republican paramilitaries. He suffered life changing injuries. The psni says its working round the clock to assess the risk created by the data breach. 0n social media, the Northern Ireland secretary, chris heaton harris, wrote. The uk government remains committed to providing specialist support and expertise. I know psni and Security Partners will continue to take proportionate action to protect officers and staff and theirfamilies. They are all now being urged to exercise maximum vigilance. Simon jones, bbc news. Were joined now by our ireland correspondent, chris page. People have been fearing this for the past week, how significant is this news for Police Officers and staff . Well, sally, this news isnt a surprise, but it is significant in that police say that they are now working towards their worst Case Scenario, as it were, after this data leak. Just to give you a sense of the extra precautions Police Working in this part of the uk have to take compared perhaps with their counterparts elsewhere, many of you watching the programme this morning will be preparing for yourjourney to work, but if police go to their workplace, they have to vary their roots, check underneath the car before they get into it in case a bomb has been put there. That is because of the daily threat they face from dissident republican paramilitaries who are opposed to the peace process, who continue to target members of the security forces. And that is why the consequences of this data breach are particularly serious. Now, the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland, simon byrne, and his team here at psni headquarters are now working through Risk Assessments relating to individual officers and groups of officers. There are certain categories of officers who may be are at more risk, those who Work Undercover for instance, so whatever you consider the potential financial implications of that, a budget for extra protection, and the fact that 3000 officers through the union have expressed an interest in taken legal action, but the more serious concern is very much the safety of the 7000 officers, the 3000 civilian staff whose details were put on line accidentally this day last week, and given that we are now seven days into this crisis, the questions have only grown since then. Chris, thank you very much. A ten Year Old Girl found dead at a house in surrey, has been named locally as sara sharif. Her body was discovered at the property last thursday. The police say the three people they want to talk to were known to her and are now abroad. A post mortem examination will take place this afternoon. Four apps to help people lose weight could be used by the nhs in england, under draft health guidance. The body that approves the use of new treatments, nice, is recommending four Online Platforms, because traditional face to Face Services are unable to keep up with demand. The apps could prescribe weight loss drugs alongside healthy eating, exercise and psychological support. Food Price Inflation has fallen again and now stands at 12,7 for the last month. Thats according to the latest data from the market analysts kantar. Prices are still up year on year across supermarkets, but the price of some staple items like milk and Sunflower Oil have gone down. Sales of own brand goods increased by almost 10 . And if you think your Summer Holiday was adventurous this year, think about this one. Almost 200 years after Charles Darwins famous voyage to the galapagos islands, a team of naturalists are sailing from plymouth today to retrace the journey. The team will mirror the biologist s journey around south america, and across the pacific to new zealand and australia, which he embarked on in the beagle at the age ofjust 22. The crew will call in at ports around the world where they will be met by young scientists. What a trip that is going to be, hey . Very adventurous. It is 111 minutes past eight. Heres carol with a look at this mornings weather. Good morning, both, and good morning to you too. It is a dry start for most of us today, many starting with sunshine rather like in york. Now, what is also happening as Pollen Levels are high across england and wales, sally mentioned this early on. We are talking about wood pollen at this time of year, but if you are allergic to that, it is worth knowing before you step out. Today is going to be a day of sunshine, bright spells and some showers. This morning the showers are few and far between, just a couple across scotland we will see further ones developed through the morning. The same across Northern Ireland, england and also wales, but at this stage in the day, most of us will miss them and it will be sunny and a dry start. But through the day, as fairweather clive develops, fairweather clive develops, fairweather cloud develops, we have light winds, and temperature is 1525 c. Light winds, and temperature is 15 25 c. Through this evening and overnight, most of the showers will fade, but we will hold onto patchy cloud and light rain. Across the west and south, we could see some mist and fog patches which will lift by tomorrow morning, and then tomorrow another bright day. Tomorrows top temperatures, 111 26, and it is going to get that bit warmer, but also more humid, in the following few days. We are still in Summer Holiday mode. As the countdown to the new term begins, mums and dads are pulling out last years uniform to see how much their kids have grown and whether its time for some Back To School shopping. Last year the government introduced new legislation in england to protect parents from unnecessary uniform costs, which should come into force from next month. It requires branding to be kept to a minimum so schools use cheaper, more generic uniforms. But the law doesnt state what minimum branding is. This is why the law has been changed. The Childrens Society found that parents are spending on average £287 on primary School Uniforms every year. Thatjumps to more than £400 when pupils start secondary school, with those branded uniforms, with school logos costing more. On average, some of the most expensive items are coats and bags. They can cost £75 per child each year. Sport shoes and boots for pe cost about £63. While school shoes come in just a pound cheaper each year. 0ur education reporter Vanessa Clarke has been taking a closer look at this. A free uniform is being given to every new starter at this academy in doncaster and students in other years are receiving items too. Were joined now by kate france, the founder of uniform exchange. Good morning. Letsjust explain what that is. Loads of you getting in touch with this, everybody is going through the cupboards and wardrobes and planning for the new term. Wales in port talbot says my Daughters School has a contract with one supplier, they have to go there for the School Uniform, and thats a player can charge whatever they want and we have to pay it. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Hello, good morning from bbc london, im victoria cook. Its over 800 years old, its known as the Queen Elizabeth i picnic tree. Also on the list is this Sweet Chestnut tree in Greenwich Park, this was planted at the request of king charles ii. Not everywhere seeing those, however, and in the sunny spells, temperatures feeling warm, 211 celsius the maximum temperature. Thats all from us, well be back with our lunchtime bulletin at 1 30. But for now ill hand you back to sally and jon. Goodbye coming up shortly, we will be talking about the nta awards, and we are delighted to say that our documentary with rob burrow is down to the shortlist in a very competitive year. Hello, this is breakfast withjon kay and sally nugent. Thank you for sticking with us and moving over to bbc two. The latest employment figures came out this morning. Emma is in skegness for us this morning with the latest. Looking fabulous there. Its a beautiful day, looking fabulous there. Its a beautiful day, we looking fabulous there. Its a beautiful day, we watched i looking fabulous there. Its a | beautiful day, we watched the looking fabulous there. It s beautiful day, we watched the sun come up and it is now beating down on us. The tourist season is in full swing, here we are on the end of the pier, it will be pretty busy here later on. At the moment we have it all to ourselves. Not to say that eight sunny day does not cure everything because tourist areas have been struggling to fill vacancies. They have been seeing a resurgence of the staycation after the pandemic but can they get enough people to fill thejobs . The pandemic but can they get enough people to fill the jobs . We will be looking at that in a moment. In just under an hour looking at that in a moment. In just underan hour just looking at that in a moment. In just under an hour just over an hour ago, we saw the latest employment figures, and one of the key takeaway is is the rate at which our wages are rising, the pay packets, what we get in our salaries. They are rising at a record rate, since records began in 2001. But what is underneath that . They have not been keeping up with price rises. Wages not going that fast in real terms. Some suggestions they are starting to catch up with inflation. The inflation figures are telling us the big issue over the past year has been a number of people out of work but not actively seeking work, those figures have been very high. This morning we have been hearing about people in long term sickness, those figures are now at a record high. Lots of record theories why that is, people who came out of work during the pandemic who have now not returned to work, Big Questions for employers about what is going on there. Anotherfigure we have been looking at, a key takeaway from the figures is unemployment. That is something we always look at but it has be relatively low, still relatively low for the uk. There have been lots of vacancies here, driven by the resurgence in the staycation but for employers, they are struggling to fill some of those roles. Across the uk, unemployment is at levels not seen since the 19705, but there are still millions of adults out of work. In skegness, nearly a third of people aged 16 to 64 are classed as economically inactive. Lets talk to somebody who on a day like this looks like they have got the perfectjob, james is the director of operations for Skegness Pier. A lovely place to work, but can you get enough other people here to fill thejob is can you get enough other people here to fill the job is to join you . Its to fill the ob is to oin you . Its difficult, to fill the job is to oin you . Its difficult, l h to fill the job is to join you . It s difficult, i dont really know why, i think there is a lack of take up onjob offers. Whether i think there is a lack of take up on job offers. Whether thats because of the seasonality of the area, or whether that is as you mentioned earlier, a knock on effect from the pandemic and peoples desire to stay at home a bit more than they were doing. What desire to stayathome a bit more than they were doing. Than they were doing. What effect does it have than they were doing. What effect does it have on than they were doing. What effect does it have on the than they were doing. What effect does it have on the business, i than they were doing. What effect does it have on the business, if i than they were doing. What effect l does it have on the business, if you have got tourists queueing up, some vacancies to advertise but not enough people to get into them . It is difficult, always difficult to employ people in a seasonal area but the last few years have been increasingly difficult. We take an approach that we multi skilled staff, we try to make job roles as attractive as possible. One of the key things is to remember that without staff, businesses are nothing, really. And its about trying to make those people enjoy their work, trying to make those people enjoy theirwork, have trying to make those people enjoy their work, have fun but remain rational, generally make the job as attractive as possible really. What the long Term Solution is, i dont know. Forthe the long Term Solution is, i dont know. For the moment we are ok, its difficult but we are ok. Just making that extra effort in terms of finding people and keeping people. I hope the rest of the holiday stays sunny for you just like today. Lets talk to katrina from the lincolnshire confederation of small businesses. Good morning. So how difficult it might be if you are a fan of the lionesses and you have to live with an australian this is aussie steve grant. Not so sure about the overconfident aussies, what do you think . There are quite a few things are stacked in australias favour, first of all the support they are going to have at the stadium is huge, that stadium is going to be filled with gold and green undoubtedly, and the noise they will bring will be phenomenal. They have showed such amazing support throughout this whole tournament for the matildas. Especially thinking about form as well, theirform has been particularly good. Regardless of the fact they have not had their top striker sam kerr who was injured for a few of the group stage matches, she is back and expected to start for england. As for the lionesses. We might not have seen the best of them yet, but on paper they are the best team undoubtedly, ranked fourth in the fifa rankings, they are the european champions for goodness sake. The thing is, they have learned how to grind out results in this tournament because they have had to do that, they have been without lauren james had to do that, they have been without laurenjames their top tournament striker and they will be without her for this match also, they have dale without keira walsh she was injured after the denmark game. They have been able to cope with obstacles in the past so it will be interesting to see how they cope with an intimidating sphere tomorrow atmosphere tomorrow. Spain and sweden, sweden of the favourites, the highest ranked team left in the tournament. After that match england will no if they get through to the world cup final, if they beat australia, they will know who they will face. What a game it will be if england can get through to the final. Thank you, jane, plenty more to come from jane as we edge ever closer to tomorrows big game. Kick off at 11am. Chelseas chequebook burning red hot at the moment. Having sealed that eyewatering deal to sign this guy Moises Caicedo from brighton for £115 million. They could be about to get it out again to sign romeo lavia for 50 60 million from southampton, pipping liverpool again for his signature. The spending does not stop. Nor in saudi arabia. Brazilian Superstar Neymar is on the verge ofjoining al hilal for around 77 million. Paris Saint Germain paid 200 million for him six years ago. There were further protests at Manchester Uniteds Opening League game of the season last nightboth at the clubs ownership and the future of player Mason Greenwood. On the field the club won i o, thanks to rafa varanes header. New wolves manager gary oneil, unhappy that his side werent awarded a penalty late on. Now to a possible ben stokes u turn. The england test captain could be about to make himself available for octobers world cup and reverse his decsion to retire from one day cricket. It is worth mentioning the Pollen Levels are high across england and wales today, weed pollen, so bear that in mind if you have an allergy. For the next few days it looks like it is going to become warmer, higher temperatures likely to be 25, 27 across some southern areas. Also going to turn more humid as well. Let me show you the air mass chart with different colours, the darker the colour, the higher the temperatures, so we have oranges indicating high 20s, then rain moving across as at the weekend, temptress can be down a touch, but the beginning of next week, at the moment it looks like we are going to have warmer still conditions especially across the south east. The jury is still out. Today is essentially a day of sunshine and showers, well scattered, the heaviest across North East England and South East Scotland where you might see the odd rumble of thunder. And light winds, 15 to 25 degrees. This evening and overnight, most of the showers will fade but we will hang on to a bit more cloud across north east scotland, here they will be some patchy light rain, mist and fog patches forming in parts of the west and south, and these are the overnight lows, ten to 30 or a0 degrees. Tomorrow hi 13 or 1a degrees. Tomorrow hi 13 or 1a degrees. Conditions will be settled tomorrow, mist and fog overnight will leave quite quickly but we will hang on to the cloud across parts of scotland in the north east with some patchy rain. Although there will still be some showers around tomorrow, there will not be as many as today. Temperatures, 1a in the north to 26 in the south. Heading into thursday, once again we will start off with some low cloud, mist and fog, that will lift, a lot of dry weather, we are under the influence of dry High Pressure. We could catch some showers, these are the temperatures. With it onshore breeze coming in from the north sea, it will feel a little bit cooler on the north sea coastline. We have Weather Fronts bringing potentially thundery rain with a drier interlude in between. To the north and east of those fronts, dry weather to start with, quite a bit of cloud, turning more showery, and then there is a dry interlude before then there is a dry interlude before the next one coming in bringing some heavy and potentially thundery rain. 15 to 26, maybe even 27 on friday in the far south east. In the south it will feel humid, along the north sea coastline with the onshore breeze, it will feel a little bit fresher. Its about our friend rob burrow, the former Rugby League Star who is now living with mnd. Lets see how rob and his family feel about it. Daddy daddy, daddy, daddy daddy, daddy, daddy. You made it on the shortlist of the National Television awards. Thats brilliant news. I am delighted that you will get to experience the red carpet. You deserve it. I hope you know that we have no chance come on, dad, we can do it. We are up against lewis capaldi, dame deborahjames, and matt willis. Lets continue to hang the drum in the fight against mnd. Were so proud of you and to make it onto the shortlist is just amazing. And youve notjust done this for us, youve done it for all of those mnd warriors and were so proud of you. I wanted to do the documentary about mnd to give people an insight into the reality of living with the disease. I wanted to show how having mnd not only affects the person with the disease, but their whole family. It is the most devastating and cruel disease that currently has no cure. It affects around 5000 people in the uk. As a sufferer of mnd, i want to do my little bit to help these families by shining a light on this disease. The tv critic scott bryan is here. Obviously that is a documentary that we made here on breakfast so it is incredible to see that i know rob and family are delighted to be down to the last four in the category, really great recognition, but its a big long list of documentaries and extent of the last four. It is big long list of documentaries and extent of the last four. Extent of the last four. It is a lona extent of the last four. It is a long list. Extent of the last four. It is a long list, and extent of the last four. It is a long list, and that extent of the last four. It is a i long list, and that documentary touches on the impact it has had on his family but also touches on what it is like to have mnd. It also helps break a lot of the stigma, and it gives you a real insight about what it is like to be experiencing this on a daily basis. It is in a very hotly competitive category, author documentary, so when there is author documentary, so when there is a star at the centre, so you have got the late deborahjames, she raised £7 million and raised a lot of awareness about cancer. Lewis capaldi, which follows his meteoric rise and his experiences with anxiety. I do also have a matt willis, fighting addiction, which looks at alcohol and drug addiction and the impact that has on families. Its fantastic to be nominated in a hotly contested category.
