Related. With more heavy Snow Forecast across Northern Scotland this weekend well talk to one family who decided to make the most of it. Dont, dont shes kicked him out and coming up this hour. Certainly not on mute how one Parish Council has gone viral after a zoom meeting got a little out of hand. Good morning. Welcome to bbc news. Energy prices will rise for millions of people across the uk in april, after the regulator ofgem said the cap for default Domestic Energy deals would be raised to cover suppliers extra costs. Ofgem defended the decision, saying that its in the interest of customers to start allowing Energy Companies to recover some of the costs to avoid larger price hikes in the future. The price cap was introduced in 2019 and designed to protect customers from being overcharged. But this is the first rise in the cap so how will the decision affect customers . The price cap affects 11 million households who have never switched suppliers, or whose discounted deals have expired thats about half of all uk households. The typical gas and Electricity Customer on a standard or default tariff is likely to see their bill go up by £96 to £1,138 a year. The remainder are on so called fixed deals, which will not be affected. But this could plunge even more people into energy debt. Citizens advice said 2. 1 Million People are currently behind on their energy bills with a 600,000 of those households getting into debt since the start of the pandemic. The change will also take effect at a time when the Furlough Scheme and universal credit uplift ends and people are spending more time at home. Joining me now to talk more about this is jonathan brearley, the ceo of 0fgem. Thank you very much for your time this morning. This is, as weve alluded to already, really difficult time in, its going to be really difficult for many people if they are on furlough for example, if they are on furlough for example, if they are out of work so why increase the cap now . We are out of work so why increase the canow . , cap now . We appreciate this really is a difficult cap now . We appreciate this really is a difficult time cap now . We appreciate this really is a difficult time for cap now . We appreciate this really is a difficult time for people cap now . We appreciate this really is a difficult time for people both l is a difficult time for people both financially and for other reasons because of coronavirus however the reason for this is last year, costs fell dramatically and the price came down alongside those costs and what we see now is the cost rising once again and the reason we are doing it now and not delaying this decision and making sure it comes in april and making sure it comes in april and not 0ctober, and making sure it comes in april and not october, is to make sure we dont have an even bigger rise in october where people are going into 0ctober where people are going into winter and clearly all of us are using more energy so i know its a tough decision we are making, difficult decision, but we are doing so in the long term interests of customers but the most important thing to say as customers dont need to live with this price. Lets thing to say as customers dont need to live with this price. To live with this price. Lets come on to that to live with this price. Lets come on to that in to live with this price. Lets come on to that in just a moment, iml on to that in just a moment, im sorry to interrupt you. People are using a lot of energy now, lots of people working from home or they are at home because they have lost their jobs. So what are the costs that are going up . Weve mentioned lots of unpaid bills already in the system. But what about the wholesale price of energy as well, is that having an impact on this . Of energy as well, is that having an impact on this . Absolutely, the main driver for this impact on this . Absolutely, the main driver for this change impact on this . Absolutely, the main driver for this change is impact on this . Absolutely, the main driver for this change is the impact on this . Absolutely, the main driver for this change is the change. Driver for this change is the change in wholesale price which is the Price Companies must pay to get their energy and what we see particularly in the gas price, a global market, as prices increasing dramatically as economies Around The World are changing to adapt to the crisis. So we are seeing really the market returning to where it was before the coronavirus pandemic and thats what we are reflecting in this change today. But thats what we are reflecting in this change today. Thats what we are reflecting in this change today. But you say it is also to do with this change today. But you say it is also to do with unpaid this change today. But you say it is also to do with unpaid bills this change today. Its i thank you for your time today. Its friday, february the 5th, or other top stories this morning. From a week on monday uk residents returning from Coronavirus Hotspots abroad will have to quarantine in hotels for ten nights. Theres been mounting pressure for ministers to set out details of the scheme, which was first announced last week. The government has been accused of being too slow to act. Simonjones reports. A new destination for new arrivals from the most high risk countries. British nationals returning home from more than 30 covid hot spots will have to check into designated hotels at their own expense for ten days. It is to try to stop the spread of new variants of the virus which emerged in south africa and brazil. But labour says because Quarantine Hotels wont be introduced for another ten days, lives will be put at risk. It is utterly shambolic that this has been brought into effect on the 15th of february. Thats over 50 days since the South African Strain was first discovered in this country and little wonder, frankly, that it reached our shores. It is nearly a year since Hotel Quarantining was introduced in other countries. We are in a race against time. Quarantine hotels are expected to be set up in ten locations near ports and airports. Hotel owners will be asked to provide rooms for more than 1000 new people every day with guests expected to pay around £80 per night. If anyone wants to leave their room for fresh air, they will be accompanied by security. The government insists it is working at pace. When you set up a new system of hotel based quarantine, we want to make sure that we get this right so that when people go to those hotels, the hotels are in place, the transport is in place. But it really is important to remember that it is already the case that everybody must quarantine for ten days. That is required by law. Discussions have already taken place with more than 60 companies in the hotel and travel industries. But some hotel owners say theyve been kept in the dark. The government says the uk has one of the toughest Border Regimes in the world but thousands of passengers will continue to arrive from hotspots before the new policy becomes a reality. Simon jones, bbc news. And our reporter simonjones is at heathrow airport. Good morning to you. What have hoteliers around heathrow been saying to you about what level of communication theyve had about this scheme, this plan . Communication theyve had about this scheme, this plan . Where i am at the moment, scheme, this plan . Where i am at the moment. A scheme, this plan . Where i am at the moment. A road scheme, this plan . Where i am at the moment, a road very scheme, this plan . Where i am at the moment, a road very near scheme, this plan . Where i am at the moment, a road very near to scheme, this plan . Where i am at the| moment, a road very near to heathrow airport, there are Numerous Hotels and the government is going to need to sign up a lot of them its going to sign up a lot of them its going to provide around 1000 hotel rooms each day, Tens Of Thousands of rooms needed over the next few months of people arriving back here at airports like heathrow who have come from Covid Hotspots. Now some in the industry see this as a great opportunity because its not been a good time for Anyone Running a hotel because of the coronavirus pandemic but other hotel owners have expressed frustration is that they say theyve been trying to the government or a number of days and even weeks about how this will work and theyve had absolutely nothing back stop until that was they received a document yesterday outlining some of the requirements that the government will need if hotels are to sign up to this. Now, the government has said today it still in the early stages of this, its got ten days to sort it out, its got ten days to sort it out, its confident it will be a success but they tell us its early days. The announcement came out at one minute past midnight this morning, its unsurprising that no one has formally signed up to this but the whole point of this is we give the hotels notice because they will need to change the way they operate, we are asking them to do something very different, were giving them time to make those adjustments and were also giving ourselves time to ensure that this policy is effective by working with International Partners and giving our Border Enforcement Officials the time they need to prepare to make this work. What more do you know about who will be involved in ensuring that travellers coming in are in the hotels, they stay in the hotels, unless they are accompanied outside for a bit of pressure . Because its been interesting talking to people involved in this game is in australia recently and they said the weak link in that, when there have been problems has been to do with private Security Contractors not necessarily having all the training they require to run this. Necessarily having all the training they require to run this. Well, this is how we understand they require to run this. Well, this is how we understand it they require to run this. Well, this is how we understand it will they require to run this. Well, this is how we understand it will work. | is how we understand it will work. When passengers arrive at heathrow and they need to be taken to a hotel, they will be escorted there might Security Officers and then, when they are at the hotel, that will also be overseen by a Security Officers who are going to be organised by the government, rather than by the hotels. So are likely to be private security firms involved. Now, people going to hotels will need to spend of the ten nights in their rooms. They will only be allowed out if they are a company, we are told, by a security officer, if they need to go out for a bit of pressure or perhaps for a cigarette so security is going to play a big role in this so that is going to be another challenge for the government, Notjust Finding the hotel beds that they need but also finding enough staff to be able to run this efficiently and properly, and Security Staff as well who will ensure that no one can enter the hotel who should not be able to enter the hotel. In terms of how it will work, people, when they are in their rooms, will get served three meals a day, they will have access to fruit and tea and coffee, they will get a knock at the door with their food, will get a knock at the door with theirfood, it will get a knock at the door with their food, it will be provided will get a knock at the door with theirfood, it will be provided by room service so they dont have to go out and do any sort of mingling. They will also get a couple of coronavirus tests during their ten day stay. But the government facing some criticism about how long its taken to implement this but also some concern that although its ten days away, its a lot for hotels to get their heads around in a short space of time. Get their heads around in a short space of time get their heads around in a short space of time. Get their heads around in a short sace of time. ,. ,. , lets get more now from our Political Correspondent helen catt. Its interesting, that last point simon made, its a lot for hotels to get their head around but a lot of people saying they should have been given much more notice, we knew about the south african variant late last year, the home secretary priti patel talking about this scheme on the 27th Of January yet its another ten days until it actually starts so no surprise that the labour party attacking the government on this . No, and theyve been very critical on this, i think you heard in the piece earlier, they believe this delay is risking lives, its beyond comprehension that its taken 50 days from the south african variant being identified get to where we are now and of course the policy isnt due to come into effect until fairbridge 15 celebre been very critical of this and also the scale of it. They sayjust critical of this and also the scale of it. They say just applying critical of this and also the scale of it. They sayjust applying this to uk citizens returning from those 33 hotspot countries is not enough, that this should be applied to everybody coming in from every country, from Around The World. The conservatives have said that is implausible because the numbers and that would be about 20,000 people every day returning to the uk and there are, of course, some Conservative Mps in particular who are concerned about the impact on the aviation industry, having a complete Blanket Quarantine in hotel policy like that would have. Government sources have pointed previously to the fact that actually quarantine and Self Isolation is a requirement for everyone coming into the country, itsjust requirement for everyone coming into the country, its just those are done at home at the moment as opposed to in this much more strict Hotel Setting so i think this debate will carry on for some time. Looking more broadly will carry on for some time. Looking more broadly at will carry on for some time. Looking more broadly at restrictions will carry on for some time. Looking more broadly at restrictions and more broadly at restrictions and windows might start to ease, we know about the continued pressure on hospitals, the former Health Secretaryjeremy hunt interestingly saying he doesnt think things should be eased until we are down to around 1000 cases a day and we are a long way from that at the moment so where is the debate at right now . There does seem to be two schools of thoughts on this, sir keir starmer came out yesterday with a very clear position, clearwarning came out yesterday with a very clear position, clear warning the Prime Minister saying do not let these Lockdown Restrictions too quickly because you dont want to end up in another one, effectively. If you let them slowly this should be the last lockdown that we have but within the Conservative Party there is a bit more of a split, a number of quite senior conservative backbenchers who throughout the pandemic, have been pretty sceptical of Lockdown Restrictions, in terms of they worry a lot about the impact on the economy, the impact on Peoples Health and well being and ideological, of course, they are a enormous restriction of peoples liberties and they believe these sorts of restrictions should only be in place for no more than a moment longer than absolutely necessary so as optimism grows and the vaccine roll out seems to be going to plan, those voices are exerting more pressure on the government to try and speed up the unlocking. Among them, sir graham brady, a very senior conservative backbencher. Throughout this process over the last ten, 11 months, ive hoped that we would always see restrictions only imposed when they are proportionate and only when they are absolutely necessary, and we are now thankfully, in a far more optimistic place. Weve got rates of infection falling quite rapidly, weve got the Vaccine Programme rolling out very effectively and very quickly. And the news that we got earlier in the week that the vaccines are also very beneficial in reducing Transmission Rates and in preventing hospitalisation of people whove been vaccinated are all immensely positive. So i think the crucial thing here isjust as many of us have said the government shouldnt be setting arbitrary rules or timetables in locking people down, we shouldnt set those now, but we dont want the government to be behind the curve. This particular pressure forming around the issue of children returning to schools, in scotland, the date has been moved to burberry half term, in england, currently, the earliest possible date Boris Johnson has said he would allow pupils to return as martz the eighth so there is particular pressure around reopening schools. But, there are also prominent voices urging caution, you mentioned jeremy hunt, the chair of the Health Select committee, former Health Secretary himself. He has urge much more caution in lifting Lockdown Restrictions and in the Guardian Newspaper this morning, he says the priority should be to drive down cases and when you get them down to a level of about 1000 cases a day you could then use things like enhanced Contact Tracing like they have in south korea and japan to keep control of the pandemic so there are certainly a couple of schools of thought on what should happen next. The government so far seems to be more in the caution camp, certainly, in recent months, when there has been this talk of an unlocking plan, March The 8th has been set as the earliest things to happen, schools would be the priority, Borisjohnson Has said he will set out a road map to parliament in the week of her break the 22nd but the language around that has regularly been from ministers this will be a gradual Easing Restrictions to take place across the whole of england so the language around it so far has been one of very much of caution so we will have to see if that continues. Helen, thank you. Theres lots of speculation in the newspaper today about when and how lockdown will be lifted. But there are still 26,000 people in hospital thats 40 more than the peak in the spring. Dr Ian Higginson is the Vice President of the Royal College of emergency medicine. And hejoins us now. I imagine you are firmly in the camp caution as things stand and when we look at the figures of the number of people in hospital and the high rate of cases that we are still seeing on a daily basis . ,. ,. , that we are still seeing on a daily basis . ,. , ,. Basis . Yes, so from the perspective of our college basis . Yes, so from the perspective of our college which basis . Yes, so from the perspective of our college which represents of our college which represents Emergency Physicians and Emergency Departments around the country, we could not be more firmly in camp caution as far as this is concerned, this could all go pete tong really easily and we have to remember that we are still a pretty high levels of infection in the community. As far as it hasnt gone away but obviously there are reasons to be cautiously optimistic in the future. And there are reasons to be cautiously optimistic in the future. Optimistic in the future. And a cou le optimistic in the future. And a couple of optimistic in the future. And a couple of days optimistic in the future. And a couple of days ago optimistic in the future. And a couple of days ago at optimistic in the future. And a couple of days ago at the optimistic in the future. And a couple of days ago at the Downing Street News briefing professor chris whitty talked about caution as well, an easing of this lockdown too soon at the potential to overwhelm the nhs especially given the variance that we are seeing now in the virus and how they can be more easily transmitted so i presume you are in agreement and accord with that idea . Yes, we would be foolish not to learn from what we have seen and not to learn from any mistakes we might have made. We have seen how quickly this virus can take hold in our community, we have seen the devastating effect it can have on patients lives and how easy it is to put the nhs in a really difficult position. The nhs is not Out Of The Woods yet, remember there are loads of patients in hospital with this disease and Intensive Care Units around the country are still beyond their normal capacity right now. So, just because the curve is looking optimistic now, if we lose control they could turn around on halfpenny and we will be back where we started. ~. ,. , started. I think you got to be so careful about the range of metrics that we look at and you only have to speak to any doctor or consultant or a nurse in an nhs hospital and they will tell you that we are a long, long way away from the moment from using these restrictions. Using these restrictions. Some of those backbenchers using these restrictions. Some of those backbenchers are using these restrictions. Some of those backbenchers are pretty i those backbenchers are pretty prominent, that feeds into a certain amount of political pressure on the cabinet. But i think we also have to recognise that its eight National Health service. And its notjust dependent on where a particular rise in infections are, patients are being spread around the country so in my home city of leeds, i know the Leeds Teaching Hospitals are doing a lot of Transplant Operations because other hospitals are overwhelmed with Covid Patients. This is an extra layer so its not a true to paint the picture that people are just coming into the country willy nilly, this is an extra layer and it takes time to get the logistics of this right and get it into place. He came to the crease just before lunch, after england had wobbled and lost two quick fire wickets, including dan lawrence for a duck, and root, playing in his 100th test, had the challenge of rebuilding englands confidence. And he has done just that with a half century, brilliantly assisted by dom sibley, whos also past the 50 runs mark. After tea now, england are 159 2. From the olympic charter s perspective, thatis the olympic charter s perspective, that is what you want to try and do. 50 years ago this week, astronaut alan shepard stood on the surface of the moon, pulled out a golf club, and whacked a couple of golf balls. He joked that one went miles and miles and now an Imaging Specialist reckons hes found the balls and figured out exactly how far they went. Here is shepard on the moon in 1971. He had smuggled a makeshift club into his sock on apollo 1a. He made a mess of his first attempt but claimed greater success with his second. And its so difficult on what is like a giant unra ked rocky bunker. With little gravity, too. Well, Imaging Specialist Andy Saunders has been working with the Us Golf Association to mark the anniversary, and hes digitally enhanced the original photographs. Hes located that second ball, and he says it went about a0 yards. So there is some gravity, that is why it didnt float off into space, as it were, but a0 yards, not a bad effort when you consider all the forces against him, and by the way, Thatis Forces against him, and by the way, that is not a golf pen and flag, it is the American Flag marking the arrival on the moon the very definition of a moonshot russell t daviess drama about the aids crisis during the 1980s has been a smash hit with viewers, but according to the Terrence Higgins trust, its also been responsible for a huge increase in the number of people getting tested for hiv. The series follows a group of friends who move to london in 1981 and have their lives turned upside down by the outbreak of aids. Breakfast s Jayne Mccubbin has been speaking to some of the cast members and those who have inspired the stories. 1980s britain. Music, mrs thatcher, money, for some. Rupert was there. I was 19. Id just basically come onto the gay scene. I met terrys friends who were marvellous. It was, it was, yeah, all glitter and disco balls, and it was really great. So with deborah. The passion, the excitement, the love, but the shame and the fear. Because headlines spoke of a menace, and lay blame and guilt and shame at the feet of the Gay Community where people were dying. And then terry died, and then its like, 0k. And the stigma was enormous, and the fear. Can you just go and get a photograph of your friends . Illjust go and get it, hold on a sec. We were blamed, it must be a lifestyle thing. Having too many sexual partners, and id had three by that time, by the time i got sick. But the assumption was of guilt. Why should we be sympathetic . Tell me about them. They were young, they were fun, they were passionate. Everything they went through was horrendous. It was awful. Stigma means deborah still keeps her promise never to tell their secret, decades after their deaths. Now that era of fear has been turned into tv gold for channel a by russell t davies. The whole thing is a pack of lies. Pete said he met this man. Do you want the truth . Aids is a racket. Gentlemen, on behalf of everybody who has seen it, and every review that has been out, bravo i have been blown away. We were so touched when we read it. Im still processing it. Just seeing the viewing figures, its absolutely insane. Its amazing that there are moments where i am like, oh my god. Do you seriously think there is an illness that kills gay men . Its a sin tells a story of a group of men through the Aids Epidemic with a cast of young to remember. You are not prepped for it. Its like a tidal wave. Ive had really young gay people message me saying they had no idea this happened. This is a recognisable past. Its not that long ago. Similar clothes. You can imagine what it was like. They are just shocked. Of course you would be shocked. Why is this happening . Gay cancer. How is a cancer gay . This is rupert, everybody. Hello. Can i introduce deborah as well, who has vanished . There you are, deborah. Ruperts Boyfriend Terry was Terrence Higgins, one of the very first people to die of an aids related illness. Rupert helped to set up the Terence Higgins trust in his name. And the message the trust has been delivering for decades has finally cut through, and its a sin has played a part. Are you all right . I would love, rupert, for you to tell everybody the impact of the show has had on the testing figures, because it has been quite amazing, hasnt it . Yes, yeah. It really has been. It has increased them by fourfold. A lot more people are getting tested. Thats remarkable. I am trying not to cry. I think its just amazing to see any real time response to the show from the audience watching. Yeah, i guess im just really moved by it, honestly. The fact that a piece | of television has had such a Cultural Impact like this, but also, you know, going on to what rupert was saying, the Public Health impact as well, thatsjust, its crazy, its so rare that telly| can have that effect. The thought police. You are infected. In the series, gill is the ally who tries to save them. Just as deborah had decades earlier. I think its taken a Global Pandemic of an entirely different sort to make people realise what happened and what young people went through in those days. Thank you to deborah and to all the other women like you who made such a difference and who were there for us. There was one woman in my life who just was there for me always. The series is heartbreaking and uplifting in equal measure. But for rupert, just too raw to watch. I cant see the whole thing yet. I need to have somebody with me to do it. I live on my own. It gets really hard. So gentlemen, i mean, when the pandemic is over you want to invite him to a Viewing Party . Yes that would be fabulous, yeah. 0h. If its possible, id love that. I actually would love tojump in on that. Rupert and deborah, we are very proud of thisjob, but we couldnt have done it without you guys paving the. Sorry. Without you guys paving the way with everything you have done and everything you have given us. Its. Yeah. Thank you both. From the bottom of our hearts. Thank you so much. 1980s britain. Fear, stigma, but above all, love. We are going to end with a. Are you ready . Blah and when you watch it this, i promise, will make sense. Lets speak to dr michael brady, medical director of Terrence Higgins trust. Michael, good to have you with us today, and i have to begin by asking, what is your experience of the its a sin effect, having such a huge impact. It the its a sin effect, having such a huge impact the its a sin effect, having such a huge impact. It is having a massive im act, huge impact. It is having a massive impact. You huge impact. It is having a massive impact. You cant huge impact. It is having a massive impact, you cant overstate huge impact. It is having a massive impact, you cant overstate how. Huge impact. It is having a massive i impact, you cant overstate how much of a difference it is making, it is so important to remember the stories of those people who lived through and died in the 1980s and 1990s, but it is also important to use the Awareness Raising of that programme to remember and recognise that things are so different in the world of hiv now, and particularly important this week, in the middle of national hiv testing week, and it is great to hear of the impact of its a sin on testing write this, because that is so important. We are committed to ending the hiv epidemic in this country by 2030, Ending Transmission, and key to that is getting more people to test. So the its a sin effect is really remarkable, great to see it happening during this week. Before the programme happening during this week. Before the programme was happening during this week. Before the programme was shown, happening during this week. Before the programme was shown, was i happening during this week. Before the programme was shown, was the pandemic having a detrimental effect on those efforts to get more people to test . , on those efforts to get more people to test . ,. To test . The covid19 pandemic . It has impacted. To test . The covid19 pandemic . It has impacted. I to test . The covid19 pandemic . It has impacted, i think, to test . The covid19 pandemic . It has impacted, ithink, because has impacted, ithink, because covid 19 has impacted so dramatically on the nhs, so Sexual Health services and hiv Testing Services had to limit their access because of lockdown and social distancing and staff being redeployed to look after covid, but we have managed to keep things going. And what has been a bit of a Silver Lining is we have seen a real increase in postal and online testing, so it is a reminder that you dont need to go into a clinic to test for hiv, you can just go online, ordera kid, get it sent home, do they test yourself, with some you send it to the lab and get a result a couple of days later, or that our self tests you can do, read it yourself, a bit like a pregnancy test. So hiv testing has continued, despite the pandemic, because the technologies have enabled that to happen. Bud technologies have enabled that to ha en. . , technologies have enabled that to hauen. . , , happen. And of course hiv testing is now a very different happen. And of course hiv testing is now a very different process happen. And of course hiv testing is now a very different process to happen. And of course hiv testing is now a very different process to the l now a very different process to the sort of test that the characters in its a sin would have gone through, people would have gone to for real in the 1980s, which are very much ties in with something i noticed on the Terrence Higgins trust twitter account, saying hiv has changed a lot since the days of its a sin, but too many people havent been paying attention. But too many people havent been paying attention but too many people havent been paying attention. Yeah, so much in there, paying attention. Yeah, so much in there. Hiv paying attention. Yeah, so much in there. Hiv has paying attention. Yeah, so much in there, hiv has massively paying attention. Yeah, so much in there, hiv has massively changed, i paying attention. Yeah, so much in l there, hiv has massively changed, it is so powerful, that seen in its a sin where they wait for the hiv test, the anxiety of the result, having to wait six weeks for the result to come back. And in that time, the knowledge that there wasnt any treatment and a positive result, for many, meant a Death Sentence. The difference now, as i have said, hiv testing is so simple, you dont have to wait six weeks, you dont have to wait six weeks, you can get a result back immediately in some cases. The other important difference now is that testing is the route to maintaining good health. If you know you are hiv positive, you can access treatments, and we have amazing treatments for hiv which did not exist in the time that we see depicted in its a sin, so effective therapy means People Living with hiv can have a long and normal and healthy life and effective hiv therapy means they can be confident they will not pass the virus on to the sexual partners, so it is very different. Tell about the landscape has been totally transformed, early diagnosis with the ,. ,. ,. , transformed, early diagnosis with the combination of Effective Treatments the combination of Effective Treatments has the combination of Effective Treatments has completelyl the combination of Effective Treatments has completely changed things. Absolutely, and that is why we say with confidence that we things. Absolutely, and that is why we say with confidence that we arei we say with confidence that we are moving towards the target of Ending Transmission in the uk by 2030. Five or ten years ago we wouldnt have said that with confidence, people would have laughed, but Testing Plus Effective Treatment and other preventative strategies like prep means it is achievable. Bud preventative strategies like prep means it is achievable. And people who access means it is achievable. And people who access tests, means it is achievable. And people who access tests, people means it is achievable. And people who access tests, people who means it is achievable. And people who access tests, people who are l who access tests, people who are heterosexual as well, because they make up four in ten cases diagnosed. Absolutely, and that is another difference from what we have seen depicted in its a sin. In the early days of the epidemic in this country, it was a disease that predominantly affected gay men, but it is important to remember that since the very beginning it has affected women, trans people, and that continues to be the case, so a significant proportion of people diagnosed. And importantly a significant proportion of people diagnosed later than we would like, later than they will get the best benefit from treatment, or often heterosexual rather than from the 93v heterosexual rather than from the gay population. So i think, for me, i would just say, and it is a good time to say it, everyone should have at least one test ever. If that happens, we could move even further and faster towards this target of Ending Transmissions by 2030. People who have ongoing risk to your sexuality, should test regularly for hiv, because it is not a Death Sentence any more. That is greater treatment and we confidently stop transmission of hiv. Treatment and we confidently stop transmission of hiv. Thank you very much, dr michael transmission of hiv. Thank you very much, dr michael brady. Almost 12 Million People in the uk are vulnerable to future heatwaves and flooding caused by global warming, thats according to a report from a group of more than 1a0 organisations. Campaigners say the elderly and those with Underlying Health conditions such as Heart Disease are particularly at risk as Charlotte Wright reports. The report predicts around 2. 6 Million People could be living in areas with significant risk of flooding within the next two decades, which it says can have a Severe Mental Health impact. Saying almost one in three of those affected suffer from post Traumatic Stress disorder. Now the group is calling on the government to take more ambitious steps to deal with the issue. Now, Parish Councils may been viewed by some as the smallest, least powerful parts of the government system. But their meetings can be just as dramatic as anything in a national parliament. Take, for example, the Zoom Gathering of the planning and Environment Committee of handforth Parish Council in the North West Of England in december.
