Share Wed, 7 April 2021 Police are set to send a security guard to court for allegedly shooting a man dead in Teuk Thla commune of Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district on April 6. District police chief Hour Meng Vang identified the suspect as Virak, a 36-year-old security guard at a bank in the commune. Meng Vang said that before the incident, the deceased was having a fight with another man, who then ran to Virak for help after being threatened with a knife. The knife-wielding man gave chase, at which point Virak pointed his gun at him as a deterrent. The man, however, did not stop and instead moved towards Virak, prompting Virak to shoot him.
