(AFP) Asharq Al-Awsat The Yemeni parties’ declaration of a new power-sharing government in line with the Riyadh Agreement has been welcomed by the Arab world and international community. United Nations envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths congratulated “President Abdrabuh Mansour Hadi, the parties to the Riyadh Agreement, all political parties and components that supported and contributed to this process and Saudi Arabia for successfully negotiating it.” “This is an important step for enhanced stability, improvement of state institutions and increased political partnership.” Griffiths said in a statement. “It is also a pivotal step towards a lasting political resolution to the conflict in Yemen.”
