Detailed description is 킹 압둘아지즈 국제공항은 사우디아라비아 메카 주 지다에 위치한 국제공항으로 1981년에 개항했다.
국제 정서상 대한항공이 소련 영공을 통과할 수 없었을 때 김포국제공항을 출발하여 타이 방콕의 돈므앙 국제공항을 경유한 뒤, 이 공항을 경유하여 스위스의 취리히 공항으로 가는 항로가 있을 정도로 유럽 항로의 중간 기착지 역할을 했었다.개요사우디아라비아에서 처음 세워진 현대적인 시설을 갖춘 공항으로 3번째로 큰 공항이다.
공항에는 하즈 터미널과 북쪽 터미널, 남쪽 터미널 등 3개의 터미널이 있다.하즈 터미널은 오로지 하즈 기간만 사용되고 있으며 메카로 가는 순례자를 위한 곳이다.
하즈 터미널은 총 면적이 대략 465km²이고 지상 면적이 405km²로 첵랍콕 공항 터미널 다음으로 세계에서 두 번째로 큰 공항 터미널이다.
터미널의 지붕은 텐트 모양으로 하얀 색의 섬유유리로 만들어져 있다.
터미널 안에는 모스크와 하즈 기간 동안 8만 명을 수용할 수 있는 숙박 시설도 갖추어져 있다.
