İzmir Amerikan Koleji, İzmir'de bulunan en eski özel eğitim kurumu ve en eski lisedir.
İzmir'de bulunan misyonerler tarafından kurulmuştur.
İlk kurulduğu zamanlar sadece kızların öğrenim gördüğü bir okulken bugün karma eğitim vermektedir.
İzmir Amerikan Koleji, özel bir okul olup, eğitim dili İngilizcedir.
İzmir Amerikan Koleji, ECIS ve CIS tarafından akredite edilmesiyle beraber öğrencilerine IB diploma programı vermektedir.Üsküdar Amerikan Lisesi ve Tarsus Amerikan Lisesi ile kardeş okuldur.Tarihİzmir Amerikan Koleji, 1878 yılında İzmir'de kurulmuştur.
Okul ilk kurulduğundan Basmane semtinde ikamet ederken, 1923 yılından itibaren İzmir'in Göztepe semtinde bulunmaktadır.
İlk kurulduğu tarih olan 1882 tarihinde sadece kızlara yönelik bir misyoner okulu olarak faaliyet göstermeye başlamıştır.
Azınlıklara yönelik bir okul olarak başlayan okul, Lozan Antlaşması sonrası ağırlıklı olarak Türk öğrencilerin gittiği bir okula dönüşmüştür.
1986 yılında erkek öğrenci de kabul etmeye başlamış karma eğitime geçmiştir.8 yıllık eğitime geçilmeden önce ilkokuldan sonra yapılan Özel Okullar Sınavıyla öğrenci kabul edilirken artık ortaokuldan sonra yapılan sınavla öğrenci kabul edilmektedir.Öğretim Alanlarıİzmir Amerikan Kolejinin eğitim verdiği belli başlı alanlar şunlardır: Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı Sosyal Bilimler İngilizce Matematik Fen Yabancı Diller Beden Eğitimi Sanat BilgisayarKulüplerÖğrencilerin yetmişe yakın kulüp ve komite içinden yaptıkları seçimler günlük sosyal yaşamlarının ayrılmaz bir parçasını oluşturur.
