Systurnar Svava og Ólöf Sverrisdætur og eiginmenn þeirra, Árni Stefánsson og Þórhallur Dan Kristjánsson, voru frumkvöðlar í ferðaþjónustu á Hornafirði.
Þau byggðu Hótel Höfn af mikilli framsýni og myndarbrag.
Hótelið var tekið í notkun að hluta 1.
október 1966 og að fullu 17.
júní árið eftir.
1995-2001 rak Iceland air hótelið en eftir það og fram til 2016 ráku hjónin Gísli Már Vilhjálmsson og Þórdís Einarsdóttir ásamt þeim hjónum Óðni Eymundssyni og Elísabetu Jóhannesdóttur.
Nýjir eigendur tóku við rekstrinum í apríl 2016..

Veitingasalurinn á 2.hæð rúmar um 100 manns í sæti og veitingastaðurinn Ósinn um 50 manns.

The sisters Svava Sverrisdóttir and Ólöf Sverrisdóttir along with their husbands, Árni Stefánsson and Þórhallur Dan Kristjánsson, were pioneers when it came to tourism in Hornafjörður.
They built Hotel Höfn with great style and vision.
The hotel was opened in part on the 1st of october 1966 and in full on the 17th of june the following year.
In the years between 1995-2001 Icelandair ran the hotel, but from that time and until 2016 the hotel was run by two couples, Gísli Már Vilhjálmsson and Þórdís Einarsdóttir along with Óðinn Eymundsson and Elísabet Jóhannesdóttir.
New owners took over the buissness in april 2016..

Hotel Höfn no offers 68 rooms in three buildings and two dining rooms.
