Okulumuz 1936 yılında inşaatı tamamlanan iki katlı ve 9 derslikli binasında Eğitim ve Öğretime başlamıştır.
İlimizde ilkokul olarak ilk mezunlarını veren az sayıdaki eski okullardan biridir.
Okulumuzdan bu güne kadar 4867 öğrenci İlkokul diploması almıştır.
İlkokul olarak son mezunlarını 1996-1997 Öğretim yılında vermiştir..
Okulumuz 1997-1998 Öğretim yılından itibaren 8 yıllık İlköğretim uygulamasına geçmiştir.
Derslik yetersizliği nedeniyle 1998-1999 yılında 6.
ve 7.
sınıflar İsmet İnönü İlköğretim Okuluna geçici olarak gönderilmiştir.
Bu uygulamada yaşanılan bazı problemler sebebi ile bu sınıflar 1999-200 Öğretim yılında tamamen İsmet İnönü İlköğretim Okuluna devredilmiştir.
Okulun derslik ihtiyacının karşılanması için Okul Aile Birliği ve Koruma Derneğinin desteği ile gerekli girişimlerde bulunulmuştur.
Bunun sonucunda Valiliğimizin ve Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğümüzün katkıları ile 2001-2002 öğretim yılından 12 derslikli ek binamız hizmete girmiştir.
Toplam derslik sayısı 21’dir.
2001-2002 Öğretim yılından itibaren okulumuz normal öğretime geçmiştir.
İlköğretim uygulaması ilk mezunlarını 2001-2002 Öğretim yılında vermiştir.
2002-2003 Öğretim yılı itibari ile okulumuzda 1.sınıf, 2.sınıf, 3.sınıf, 4.sınıf, 5.sınıf, 6.sınıf, 7.sınıf, 8.sınıf eğitim ve öğretim görmektedir.
