Detailed description is An Extreme Boy Scout Skills Event at Camp Sidney Dew.
Boy Scouts work on the Zombie Outbreak Response Team as Recon Units to deal with Local Zombies.
Camp Sidney Dew has had zombie outbreaks most winters for many years.
The Virus that is believed to be responsible for the Zombies is called the B-Preparightious virus.
It is believed the virus lies dormant under certain types of rocks (a good reason not to disturb the rocks in camp).
This virus attacks anyone who has direct contact with an infected surface.
In early 2006, Camp officials formed an elite organization called the Zombie Outbreak Response Team (also known as Z.O.R.T.).This team is responsible for ending any outbreaks and gathering information about the virus.
Due to the highly infectious virus, Z.O.R.T.
ranks must be refilled from time to time with recruitment event drives.
Zombie Ops is one of those drives to replenish the ranks to continue the noble work, which has been so successful during the past at Camp Sidney Dew.
The Year of 2016 has seen significant change in the virus’s conduct in reacting with humans in general.
In the past boy scout recon units were deployed in such a manner as to minimize exposure, but with predicted future patterns coupled with the changes in the virus itself, minimal exposure will be extremely difficult to execute.
Each patrol will have direct exposure to Zombies.
We will need full natural Boy Scout patrols to assist and conquer the next major outbreak predicted for October 28, 29, and 30, 2016..
Zombie Ops at CSD, Z Games is a weekend event open to registered Boy Scouts of the BSA.
Registration is available online through the NWGA council website - www.nwgabsa.org.Registration costs $25 per Boy Scout & $15 per registered Adult Leaders.

Registration must be completed by October 8, 2016.

Registration Cost includes food for the weekend and a patch for youth.
Adult leader’s cost only includes food for the weekend.
Additional patches are available to purchase during online registration.
There is not an “Early Bird” price, nor is there a late fee.
Due to the type of activities planned we will not be able to accept any last minute registrations or “at the door” additions.

Registration for Zombie Ops at Camp Sidney Dew Z Games should be as a troop.
Registration will ask for Patrol Names of each youth.
All fees need to be paid online or within 10 days of registration by mail or at the local Scout shop.
Registration is limited 300 Boy Scouts.
Early registration is advised.
Once the Limit is reached on registration a waitlist will be employed.
Additional Event Patches are $5 each.
Members of O.A.T.(OA Tactical)may put their patrol as OAT.OAT members must be an Active Waguli Lodge member(2016 Dues Paid)and attend 1 lodge event in 2016 and be available for OAT training on Saturday, October 8 at CSD..
All Meals will be supplied.
This will include: a Friday night Cracker-barrel, Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Lunch, Saturday Dinner, and (for those that survive to Sunday) a Sunday Breakfast.
However, Troops are welcome to bring and cook their own food if they would like (In considering cooking within the troop please refer to “Gear Hauling” section)..
Event t shirts are offered online with online registration for an additional $12 each.
Hoodies are also offered with online registration for an additional $23 each.
All t-shirt and Hoodie orders need to be paid with your online registration before or by October 1, 2016.Registration Ends “ Dead” on October 8, 2016.If you order T shirts or Hoodies and don’t pay for them by Oct.1,the your apparel order will be canceled.
There will be no T-shirts or Hoodies available for purchase at the event.
