Inspired by our gorgeous Kyrie and Mia.

We build and sell indoor & outdoor insulated pet houses with a twist.
The idea for ZAI(A1) Kennels started 9 years back when i bought home my first gorgeous Jack Russell Kyrie.
My dad (Alex) being a cabinet maker by trade and handy with anything timber related, i asked if he would build Kyrie a kennel ....
low and behold, out of dads work shop came this insulated palace which i certainly didn't expect (4 walls and roof was my idea ...) .
As happy as Kyrie and myself were, i was in awe on Alex's creation of a Dog kennel which would be warm in winter and cool in summer..

A few years later our gorgeous Mia came along and Kyrie was upgraded to a double insulated Dog house with Mia in which they live happily ever after until this very day..

Years down the track Alex decided to semi retire and being the busy man i always had known him to be i sort of thought that he may need something casual to keep him busy and thats when the idea of ZAIA1 Kennels came to mind! .

Once into full retirement, i was able to combine Alex's phenomenal ability and skills of timber creation alongside my design, marketing and sales ideas to create a small business project known to be ZAIA1 kennels and we were up and running within 10 months.

With ZAIA1 kennels being into its 5th year, we work on a casual to part time basis and we strive to put our business out to the dog lovers of Melbourne via word of mouth, business cards and Facebook to build a level of clientele and boost our business into a successful one.
