The Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition (YAPC) was formed in 1996.
We are committed to facilitating the elimination of poverty in Yukon through awareness, advocacy and action.
We currently have almost 275 members including individuals, politicians, non-governmental agencies, and representatives from the business and faith community..

* Foster development of strategies and activities to reduce poverty in Yukon;.

* The promotion of awareness of poverty in Yukon;.

* To help provide a voice for Yukoners living in poverty; and.

YAPC is led by three volunteer co-Chairs who are elected at our annual general meeting.
These individuals share the responsibility of chairing meetings, engaging with community and representing YAPC members’ voices on poverty related issues..

Yukon Government Department of Health and Social Services provides an annual contribution of $25,000 for administrative support to YAPC.
The rest of our funding is proposal based — in the past we have received funding from the Health Investment Fund, the Public Service Alliance Social Justice Fund, the Community Development Fund, the NGO Trust Fund, the United Way and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities..
