501c3 non-profit EIN 45-453443 Youth Sing Praise began in 1982 as a ministry to youth by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, IL in order to train young liturgical musicians and promote the composition of liturgical music and musical theatre.
Over the years, and now under the management of the Youth Sing Praise Foundation, Inc.
(since 2011), YSP serves youth of any religious background.
Over the course of 9 days (8 nights), young people are empowered to use their vocal and theatrical gifts to be a witness of God's love to the greater community.
Professional theatrical staff (music, acting, choreography) help students sharpen skills and build their confidence.
Caring and attentive youth ministers serve as a sort of "spiritual camp counselor" to ensure the well-being and personal growth of each student as they navigate a demanding but enriching week.
