MYF is a time of Methodist Youth Fellowship during which youth gather and "creatively" talk about faith.
The youth have created their own place in the Youth House next to the church.
The gold/brick room has an entire chalkboard wall to express yourself as well as an air hockey table, the music/record room has a couch and chairs to listen to music, the meeting room has couches and chairs with banners a’plenty, the kitchen---well it is a kitchen, the enclosed porch has a ping pong table and a wide variety of sports equipment to play volleyball, basketball, 4 square, etc.
in the youth cleared yard.
(MYF=Methodist Youth Fellowship) Don’t forget to bring your Bibles as you gather to expand your Christian knowledge with other youth your age..

Outdoor activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, Capture the Flag, Volleyball, Four Square and indoor activities such as Rook, Catch Phrase, Gestures are just some of the things you might find the youth doing..
.
6:00 pm to 7:00 pm is “One Voice.” This is not your typical youth Bible study but a time to creatively share ideas and explore God and His activity in our lives.
We do a variety of activities about different topics each week.
On occasion we have guest speakers as well as sharing about such things as mission work and serving God in environments other than church.

Creative Arts meet in the Youth House..
.
Each Wednesday night at the conclusion of One Voice, we share our musical talents as we glorify God.
In addition, singing, acting, puppets, music, etc.

Youth work to use their talents and gifts of creative arts to share God’s word with others, both within our church family and out in the community.

.
Every 1st Wednesday of the month the youth mop TESA.
(This service of mopping takes 30 minutes at the most with adequate participants.) .

The youth take a yearly summer mission trip and do assorted mission work throughout the year as needs arise.
Mission trips in the past have included Team Effort (painting and repair work at a homeless shelter in Murphy NC), Project Noah (New Orleans Area Hope—rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina), SIFAT (Servants In Faith And Technology where missionaries from here and abroad are trained), Mt Top (mission work in rural Appalachia), Upper Sand Mountain Parish (painting, farming, canning and preserving, leading a Bible study for area children), Greensboro AL (painting, thrift store work, gardening, building on a house for Habitat for Humanity.) This past summer, we went to Hiwassee College in Madisonville TN and did disaster storm clean up, fellowshipped with special needs’ adults, worked at a low income retirement housing community+ a women’s homeless shelter + an outreach ministries’ shelter...we were very busy but were very blessed with all those we met and were able to help.

Annually we participate in See You At The Pole, Souper Super Bowl Sunday and Relay For Life.
5th Quarters are held for all the youth of the community following Arab High School home varsity football games with a version of a 5th Quarter held during varsity basketball season and varsity baseball season.
