The YWC serves as a multi - sectoral community support group, formed with Technical support from the National Youth Authority, Ghana Library Board,Religious Bodies such as Federation of The YWC is aimed at empowering people more especially the youth and young people in the areas of reading and writing,drama,and advocacy..
Other areas include; reproductive health issues, HIV and AIDS and child rights issues which include child protection, abuse, child labor and streetism and empowering them to effectively participate, advocate and demand their share towards community development.
