Anita moved to Spruce Pine in 2008 from Florida where she practiced Anusara yoga with Betsy Downing, PhD, at Garden of the Heart in Sarasota, Florida.
A practitioner of yoga for 16 years, Anita decided to take a deeper study of it as a discipline by completing the Subtle Yoga Training and Personal Transformation Program with Director, Kristine Kaoverii Weber, in Asheville, NC.
Successful completion of this 250 hour, Yoga Alliance approved course, entitles her to the credential of RYT...registered yoga teacher.
This training builds on Anita’s medical background as a Nurse Practitioner, a healing touch and Reiki practitioner and a creative artist through clay and watercolors.
Recently achieving her anniversary of 20 years cancer free, she shares the wisdom of survivorship with her students in her approach to yoga....a path out of suffering.
