Our Story.

Brisbane-based WORK-SHOP by MGDC is the creative collaboration between an architect and builder.
The business is the realised dream of two passionate artisans who shared an idea to create carefully hand-crafted timber objects and furnishings made with timeless design and sustainability in mind.
The couple behind WORK-SHOP, Georgina Goddard and Morgwn Wilkie, have harnessed complementary skillsets drawn from careers in design and manufacturing to forge an authentic local maker experience in Brisbane.
Georgina is an established architect and designer, and Morgwn is an experienced builder and woodworker.
In 2013 the pair set-up shop in Newstead to establish a practice that creates unique timber products for Australian spaces.
From their cosy workshop and showroom they develop and manufacture a range of quality objects for the home, working closely with architects, designers and homeowners in providing pre-built and custom products..
