Originally this was started by a group of parents who wanted their students to be safe the night of graduation.
We have in many years suffered the loss of at least one student to drunk driving and the first one was on a graduation night.
The parents rallied together and met with the school officials and asked if they could originate this program and it was welcomed with open arms.
But it could not be funded by the school - this group would have to fully sponsored for their events.
And now here we are.
Times have changed and we all have access to cell phones, computers which means media access! BUT the ONE thing that HAS NOT changed: OUR students thinking they are invincible.
It is up to us to teach them.
Remind them.
If we all do a small part - WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
