Xena is truly a top percentage dog.
I took possession of her when she was 6 months old, took a full week hunting trip with her a month later in NE Montana.
She is unbelievably birdy and lives to get feathers in her mouth.
On that trip she had found and retrieved Sharptail grouse, Hungarian Partridge, Pheasants and Ducks.
When you get Xena out and start hunting with her she takes a moment and surveys all of her surroundings deciding how she wants to proceed.
I have never had a dog that you could see thinking out situations like she does.

In 2015 Xena and I went to Saskatchewan water fowling with her at 19 months old she absolutely adores retrieving ducks and geese.
In 2 hours in the decoy spread she had run over 13 miles and retrieved many ducks and geese, always wanting to do more.
While we were picking up the spread she continued searching and found multiple ducks that we wouldn’t have found without her.
We also went to the Dakotas pheasant hunting as seen in one of her pictures she plowed grass until her face was bloody from grass abrasions.
She doesn’t have a quit button and simply is a tried and true hunting machine..

I took possession of Blaze when he was approximately 18 months old.
Blaze had been sold to a man that had taken him to a supposed “Professional trainer” and had multiple thousands of dollars in training invoices.
However evidently this trainer was very heavy handed and what I got was a dog that responded poorly to any kind of pressure.
As our hunting season progressed Blaze began to trust me and I was able to start seeing his true potential.
We have just completed our second complete hunting season and what a difference that a year made.
Blaze is a dog that will give you 110% everyday in every situation.
We hunted in both Canada and the USA in 2014, hunting many species of upland birds and waterfowl.
Blaze is a high powered hunting machine that is always ready for another adventure..
These dogs are both high prey drive, hunting machines.
The puppies will be better situated to serious hunting households, they will require lots of attention and exercise.

I will be giving preference to members of the VHDF and NAVDHA.
A VHDF membership will be included with each puppy from this litter.
I am hoping to have multiple puppies tested from this litter and will being asking new owners to get involved with VHDF or NAVDHA.
Both parents have been tested in VHDF and I am very happy with the database information from both parents of both dogs.

Both dogs are house broken and live in the house all year long.
They are both good citizens and behave accordingly.
The biggest problem is they are bed hogs.
