Detailed description is Adventure Camp, Conference & Retreat Center located in New Castle, Virginia (approximately 30 miles north of Roanoke) Founded in 1990 by retired Marine Colonel Gene Nervo and his family, WAEL began as an all outdoor backpacking program for ages 8-18.
Over the past 25 years, the program has continued to grow and is now a year round conference, retreat, and adventure center.

Gene and his staff are dedicated to providing unique and memorable experiences, both in the outdoors and at his 500 acre facility in Craig County.
