Does a doula replace the need for dad or partner to be by mom's side? Absolutely NOT! It is vital that dads are part of the journey! Before babies are born, I work with the dads/partners as well so that they have tools they can use to be proactive as you labor and birth.
This means that dad/partners are an integral part of the process not watching from the sidelines!.

Childbirth Education Services:.
For families that do not desire labor support, I offer private childbirth education and preparation classes! This is my Whole Body Birth Education Program wherein you will learn not only about the labor and birth process but how it involves your enitre body from your head to your toes! You will also be prepared to utilize coping skills and comfort measures.
Your partner will be prepared to support you.
All classes are taught in the comfort of your own home! How is this valuable? You will know how you can use your environment as you labor and you will learn how being in your own environment is important to the labor process.

Are you planning to breastfeed your baby? You can prepare to have a successful breastfeeding relationship with your baby before his or her arrival! My Breastfeeding Preparation Program consists of a private breastfeeding preparation class taught in your home as well as postpartum breastfeeding support, both in home and over the phone.
