The West End Community Association (WECA) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit, incorporated association of residents and friends of Kurilpa (West End, Hill End, Highgate Hill and South Brisbane).
Since forming in 2004, we have celebrated and promoted our values and the people that make Kurilpa a vibrant and diverse community by: advocating on behalf of our community on issues such as sustainable development and access to public spaces; organising community events including the Kurilpa Derby, the Kurilpa Beggars’ Banquet, and West End Film Festival; and keeping residents and friends of Kurilpa informed about local issues, events, and initiatives through our Facebook page and newsletter.
The Association is open to and welcomes residents (owners and renters alike), community organisations, and local businesses to join with us in our initiatives.
