Detailed description is 10 year homeless survivor, who built his own place from ground up, feeding people from all over the world.Over70,000 people from all over the world,call this "HOME" We are the Family that Introduced "Louisiana Cajun" Food to Okinawa, all others came after We are not a regular restaurant, Just because you send us an email for a reservation, it does not guarantee you a spot.

We try and do things in the old fashion way, where we shop and cook everyday.
We don`t serve anything frozen or microwaved.
We do not allow perfume or cologne, or bad mannered guest or racism in our home, we are an international family, we love cooking for and talking to our guest from all over the world, We have been open for 10 years and try very hard to be original, not like other places around us who try and copy, or franchises.
We believe that franchises destroys cultures and people copying destroys originality.
If you decide to give our place a try, please note, you will be served by my children, if it is professionalism and five star service you are looking for, this may not be the place for you.

We started out with just a tool shed, my wife and 7 year old daughter built everything by hand.
Our menu consist of some Japanese dishes I learned while living on the mainland, also my wife is Okinawa and her dishes, of course are from Okinawa, My food is from my home of Louisiana, Gumbo, Jambalaya, and my smoked chicken is from where my Pawpaw live in Ponchatula, but of course my own flavor.
We did not start with a menu as other restaurants do, we started out with hungry Marines from a near by base called Camp Hansen, We do not put anything on our menu until we have decide that the flavor can always be kept or better, this takes up to a year and half to two years.
Our menu like our place grows.
We even have one dish that took me 9 years before getting it right.
We are not great chefs by any means, we are self taught, and coming here is just like going to your family`s house out in the country, call them and let them know you are coming for a visit and they will prepare for you..

Left home at the age of 15, was homeless off and on for 10 years.
Moved to Japan in 1991, now living in Okinawa.
Started this place with my wife and daughter and some hungry Marines.
Never felt appreciated in all my life until I started BBQing for Marines in 2002 on Shawab.
Marines are a different breed, the Comradery they share can not be seen or felt anywhere, and I have been around a lot of people, many different times I have had the privilege to cook for or help Marines in many different areas in Okinawa, now we cook for everyone from all over the world.
But, the Marines had adopted me and will always be the main reason I do what I do.
