Detailed description is Warm Up America is a national, non-profit organization made up of volunteers who donate their time and skills to create knitted and crocheted afghans to help those in need.
Two-three dozen volunteers knit and crochet afghans, lap robes, shawls, hats, scarves, mittens and pet mats which are then delivered to community organizations in the Wayne County area.
The Orrville Public Library has generously provided us the space to meet regularly and to store our yarn donations and the items waiting to be delivered.
We average a donation of 180-200 afghans and 85-90 other items per year to our local service organizations, not counting pet mats delivered to the Wayne County Humane Society.
