We collect recyclables from households.
The idea of Vivartha came up when our group of friends wanted to do something to the society before exiting our teens and taking on bigger responsibilities..
When we realised that an orphanage is located very close to our vicinity, we visited BGMS, understood how they work and we were inspired to do something for those kids and the people running it..
We didn't want to take money as a donation as we felt that it might rise concerns over mishandling.
As college students we know how much of waste goes to the garbage which can be recycled, hence we felt we would collect all the recyclables from households, raise funds from it or craft something with the materials which would be useful for the kids..
Our main donations have been old newspapers and we plan to make paper bags and other crafts out of these and try to use minimum plastics, during our vacations.
