Een van de leukste dingen om te doen tijdens mijn eerste zwangerschap vond ik het inrichten van de babykamer.
Niet wetende of we een jongen of meisje zouden krijgen, viel de keus op het thema 'boerderij' en koos ik de kleuren lime met aqua en rood..
Ik was vroeger altijd creatief bezig, maar door mijn baan als dierenarts was dat de laatste jaren een beetje op de achtergrond geraakt.
Nu kon ik echter weer volop aan de slag! Ik maakte onder andere stoffen schilderijtjes met vilten dieren, hangers voor aan de kast en vogelhuisjes met muziekdoosjes.
Aangezien ik hier zoveel plezier in had, en ik veel leuke reacties uit mijn omgeving kreeg, besloot ik me in de schrijven bij de Kamer van Koophandel en mijn eigen webwinkel te bouwen..
Gewapend met een you-tube instructiefilmpje en een instructieboek ging ik als webmaster-analfabeet aan de slag, en een paar maanden later was mijn website www.babydecoraties.nl in de lucht.
Sindsdien werk ik met heel veel passie aan alle handgemaakte producten die via mijn site te koop zijn.
Ik ben erachter gekomen dat ik het net zo leuk vind om mooie decoraties te maken voor de kinderkamer van een ander, als voor die van mezelf.
Een mailtje van een tevreden klant of een foto van een kamertje waar mijn schilderijtjes hangen te pronken, brengt iedere keer weer een glimlach op mijn gezicht..
Inmiddels heb ik mijn assortiment uitgebreid met jungledieren, uiltjes, draakjes en zeedieren, en hoop nog veel andere dingen te gaan maken in de toekomst.
