What is a Viking School-Based Health Center (VSBHC)?.
A VSBHC is like a doctor's office within the school providing a great benefit to students.
For students without a primary healthcare provider, VSBHC staff may become that provider.
Research shows that school-based health centers can help a student manage his/her illness(es) at school and, therefore, decrease absenteeism from school and parents' time away from work as well as fewer hospitalizations and trips to the emergency room.
If a student is sick/ill, they have the opportunity to be treated without delay.
