Compelled by the love of God to break down the barriers of socioeconomics, Rustin Sweeney, his wife Stacy, and their three boys started UCLife after their experience of relocating into an urban apartment community on the south side of Atlanta.
By relocating, the Sweeney family was better able to understand the real problems facing the urban landscape and begin to look for real & creative solutions.
Relocation transformed the Sweeney’s vision from a “you, them, & theirs” to a “we, us, and ours” philosophy.
Urban Community Life is designed to be a wholistic strategy, one of simplicity; include other people in everything you do by using your life as the vehicle by which the sacred is transported from person to person.
This strategy has given birth to multiple ways of building healthy community relationships- UCLife Organic Farm & Urban Agricultural Training Center, UCLife Creative Arts, UCLife Wilderness Adventures; & UCLife Multihousing Community Services.
