We offer high-end merchandise for an affordable price! Tessa Tate-Mauzey and Shelly Kussman, a sister duo, grew up in rural Brunswick, Missouri and decided to establish their lives and families in the same small Midwestern town.
Over the past decade, the downtown district of Brunswick has been transformed back into its once robust and exciting state.
The town is filled with shops, beautiful facades, and hidden wonders for everyone.
We decided to join the town’s evolution of development by interconnecting a business with our passion of earth awareness: and thus, UpRiver Urban Exchange was born.

The project began as a way to become more vested in our community.
However; over the course of time, another focus became clear; to become as earth-friendly, positive, and sustainable as possible.
At UpRiver, not only are we very community oriented, but we also are mindful of the beautiful earth that surrounds us.
Most everything that is found on the shelves or racks of our store is either made of recycled or repurposed material, earth-friendly and sustainable, or made from a green initiative product or company.
It is our mission to be earth-conscious while always emanating positivity and love for our customers, consigners, and staff.
