Detailed description is The University of Maryland Learning Assistance Service is the academic success unit of the University Counseling Center.
We are here to support you! The Learning Assistance Service is one of the five divisions of the University of Maryland Counseling Center.
Founded in 1948 as the Reading and Study Skills Lab, it has evolved over the years to provide students with research-based learning strategies that will help them be successful college learners.
Services include individual academic counseling, credit-bearing learning strategies courses, math learning support, workshops, an ESOL Conversation program, Returning Students Program, Dissertation Support Group, Guided Study Sessions, and Peer Assisted Learning.
All our services are free to currently-enrolled University of Maryland students..
