Detailed description is The UofM Hindu Students' Council provides opportunities to learn about & celebrate Hindu heritage and Eastern spiritual practices through a variety of ways UMHSC derives its vision from the following Vedic and Puranic sayings:.
a) “Ekam Sat Viprah Bahuda Vadanti” (The One Truth is expressed by the Wise in many ways) .
b) “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhina; Sarve Santu Niramaya" (May all be happy.
May all be healthy).
c) “Dharmo Rakshati Raskhitah” (Truth, when preserved and protected, protects you).

UMHSC’ Mission is three-fold:.

a) Providing opportunities to learn about Hindu heritage and culture.
b) Providing opportunities to join/witness Hindu and Eastern Spiritual Practices.
c) Providing Seva (selfless-service) to the community.

The Hindu Students' Council (HSC) provides opportunities to learn about Hindu heritage and and Eastern spiritual practices through various activities & events.
It presents ample opportunities for self-development at spiritual and personal levels..

Our main goal is to provide a group which Hindus, on campus can celebrate being Hindu and Hinduism through a variety of religious and spiritual opportunities.
We work to provide these basic services to the University of Manitoba so that the Hindu community at U of M, and those interested in Hinduism, may have the opportunity to take part and experience the rich and vibrant Hindu religion..
