Detailed description is The University of Iowa Hapkido club is a student club and rec services lesson program open to University of Iowa students and community members.
Hapkido is one of the best martial arts for practical self-defense.
We focus on ways to escape from, throw, ground-fight, choke, kick, punch, joint-lock or otherwise finish an attacker.

Our techniques use the principal of non-resistance, turning an attacker's own strength against himself, and is thus ideal for women and smaller persons.
No previous martial arts experience or athletic ability is necessary.

The Iowa Hapkido Club is on the largest martial arts lesson programs at the University of Iowa; we have been training students since 1990.
