Detailed description is United Wisconsin Grain Producers (UWGP) is an ethanol facility in Wisconsin and was formed by a group of local corn growers in August 2001.
The facility started operations in April 2005 and is currently producing 60 million gallons of ethanol per year.
Ethanol is a flammable, colorless, chemical compound that is best known as the alcohol found in alcoholic beverages.
Fuel ethanol (less than 0.8% water) is blended with gasoline in varying quantities up to pure ethanol, and all standard gasoline engines will operate well with mixtures of 10% ethanol (E10) and now the EPA has approved the use of 15% ethanol (E15) in any vehicle model year 2001 or newer.

UWGP is a dry mill corn ethanol facility, which cost $60 million dollars to develop and construct.
Ultimately UWGP grew to include over 900 member/investors.
