Detailed description is This is the Official FaceBook Page of the University of Miami Aikido Club, bringing the martial arts and philosophy of Aikido to the University of Miami Students, Faculty, Staff, and Neighboring Community.
The Aikido Club at the University of Miami is a student organization dedicated to furthering the understanding of the principles of this Japanese martial art and their implementation in everyday life.
Through both discussion and practice, we develop physically and mentally, while learning techniques vital for conflict resolution, encouraging assertiveness and compassion..

We strive to explore, understand, and adopt the precepts and principles of Aikido, as a martial art and as a means to successfully navigate all relationships, so that, in so doing, we may create, nurture, and encourage the building of healthy relationships with each other, with our families and loved ones, and with our communities..

As a club, we host seminars, events, and activities for our martial arts community, school community, and local community.
As we raise funds, we look to increase our participation in other outreach efforts..

Past graduates have gone on to become policy makers, attorneys, doctors, researchers, Olympic trainers, and all around exemplary influences in their respective communities, all around the world..

We meet three times a week at the University of Miami’s Student Wellness Center, in Multipurpose Room A.
