Detailed description is A certified teacher offering tutoring and instructional services for any age, any grade, and any subject.
My name is Michelle Myers and I am a certified teacher.
With school quickly approaching I know many parents are concerned with their children getting behind or wanting their children to have a head start.
I am offering tutoring and instructional services for any age, any grade, and any subject.
I can offer 30 minute to two hour sessions.
I can do one-on-one, group sessions of the same age group, or group sessions with multiple age groups or subject needs.
I can meet at the Farmville Library, Sheppard Memorial Library, or any other Library that would be closer or more comfortable for your security.
Most places charge a large sum of money, but my starting price is only $20 per hour.
If you have multiple children you would like help with, or if you want to get together with some of your mom friends and do a group I only ask for $15 per hour per child if its a group of two, and $10 per hour per child if its 3 or more.
I would like to put a cap at 5 so that each child can get their individualized time and attention.
You are welcome to leave your children if you have errands, or you can stay if you want to see what your child is learning so that you can help them yourself later as well.
I also come equipped with IXL services and Readtheory services to give you a detailed explanation as to where your child is struggling and excelling and can give you tips and ways to help your child based on this information.
If you feel that your child is improving, I will be continuing to offer tutoring and help once school begins as well..
My background in education is as followed:.
I have two bachelors from Barton College, 1 in Deaf Education and 1 in Middle School English.
My current areas that I am licensed to teach are Deaf students from ages birth-21, 6th-9th grade science and math, and 6th-12th grade English and social studies.
I started teaching in a school that was specially designed for students who were at least 2 grade levels behind in math and/or English.
I then moved on to a school that was a mainstream program for deaf and functional special needs students.
I have since been focusing my teaching in deaf specific programs, starting at the Deaf school in Wilson, and then moving on to work with deaf students in Craven county as pull out for English, Reading, and Vocabulary.
I have taught Math from grades 4th-8th grade, English from grades K-12th grade, Social Studies grade 5th-8th grade, and Science in the 6th grade.

My belief is that most things must be learned hands on; therefore, I do my best to incorporate hands on learning in almost every lesson..
