Detailed description is The Tuscaloosa Youth Orchestra is a full orchestra of advanced student musicians interested in performing orchestral repertoire and performing for the community.
The Tuscaloosa Youth Orchestra is sponsored by the University of Alabama Community Music School, an outreach program of Arts and Sciences.
Each year, approximately 50 young musicians throughout West Alabama participate in the Youth Orchestra.

The Youth Orchestra rehearses weekly on Mondays from 5:30-7:00pm at the Moody Music Building on the UA campus.
Fall semester runs from late August until mid December, and Spring semester runs from late January to early May.
The semester fee is $125.00, with some scholarship funding available.
The Youth Orchestra performs a concert at the end of each semester that is offered to the public without charge.
