Detailed description is Located in beautiful Saranac Lake, NY, in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, our mission is to provide safe shelter to all stray, abandoned and unwanted companion & domestic animals.

Our staff and Board of Directors work toward educating the public about proper animal care including spaying and neutering, outdoor housing, providing proper sustenance, veterinarian care, and the many state and local laws and ordinances that a pet owner should be made aware of.
We also assist local Law Enforcement with Animal Cruelty investigations and emergencies..

The Tri-Lakes Humane Society covers a large geographic area in 4 counties (Franklin, Essex, Clinton & Hamilton).
Under contract with local Towns & Villages, we provide both Shelter & Dog Control services for the residents..

As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on monetary donations from supporters to keep our doors open to helping the homeless animals in our area.
Our volunteer Board of Directors are constantly planning fundraiser events, and we also have gained a lot of support from local businesses that assist us with fundraising.
We gladly accept monetary donations of any amount, as every dollar helps us continue our mission to help the animals in our care.
