As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, TIYLO has two main purposes: to work together for the betterment of our communities in the 1000 Islands Region and for the personal development of the young leaders and community members who reside here.
TIYLO was first formed in 2008 by a group of young professionals in the Clayton area who wanted to make an impact in their community.
Since its inception TIYLO has continued to evolve and has grown to include members of the broader 1000 Islands communities including Hammond, Alexandria Bay, and Cape Vincent.
Over the years TIYLO has hosted many series' of events including: The River Rat Triathlon, Memorial Day Daffodil Plantings, "Green Fest" in honor of Earth Day, an Upstate Ice Jam, a wintertime Reindeer Run, Community Service Days, Haunted Houses and Volunteer Fairs.
Today, TIYLO maintains two signature events that continue to grow each year: our Annual Christmas Masquerade Ball, held the first weekend of December, as well as our Annual Golf Tournament, held the fourth weekend of July.
We invite you to become actively involved with these two main events whose chief goal is to raise important funds for numerous charitable causes that have a direct impact in the lives of less fortunate families and friends living in our communities.
