The Thirsty Dogs Touch Football Club began in the Summer of 2001.
After an eventful university games at Townsville and a season with the QUT Taipans TFC, a few young freshed faced members decided to form a new team for the summer season that year..

Being young university students we decided to name our side based on our biggest influence....beer and the flavour of the month was XXXX Thirsty Dog.
From that point on a legacy was born.
