The Iota Xi Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity at Georgia College Theta Chi Fraternity is an international college fraternity founded on April 10, 1856, as the Theta Chi Society, at Norwich University in Norwich, Vermont.
It was the 21st of the 71 North American Inter-Fraternity Conference men’s fraternities.
Theta Chi has 127 active chapters with a total of 164,000 initiated brothers since its start in 1856.
Theta Chi embraces the importance of scholarship with our maxim, “Alma Mater First, Theta Chi for Alma Mater,” while it prides itself on the ever-growing brotherhood as well as a strong sense of community in our town, our school, and our lives.
The Iota Xi Chapter at Georgia College strives to embody what it means to be a Theta Chi.

The Georgia College Chapter of Theta Chi (Iota Xi) was initiated and Chartered on April 9, 2011 with 47 founding members.
This chapter of Theta Chi is one of the fastest chapters to charter in National history; we are also the fastest growing fraternity on the Georgia College campus doubling members in under a year.
We work hard to maintain our reputation while having the highest GPA on campus as well as participating in numerous community service events for our community in Milledgeville, as well as our national philanthropy, USO (United Service Organizations).
