Welcome to The Whole Foods Handygirl, personal chef services and nutritional counseling! I'm an RN in a busy ICU and I spend most of my days working with patients with heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions.
I often find myself educating patients about simple dietary changes that can prevent them from coming back! But what’s the use of doing this if folks either don’t know how to cook or don't know what to cook? And who wants to eat healthier food if doesn’t taste good? That’s where my services come in: I offer the tools you need to build the most important foundation you have, the foods you choose to eat each day.
What’s more, I will show you that eating for your health can and should taste amazing! I will sit down with you and either plan a menu of freezer-friendly meals to cook in your home each week, or for those that already have cooking skills, we can discuss dietary options, guidelines and recipes suitable to your needs and plan a grocery list to go along with my recommendations.
I specialize in creating menus and recipes for clients with diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, food allergies, gluten intolerance, weight loss and other special health needs, and I love cooking paleo, vegan, vegetarian, macrobiotic and can follow any dietary preferences favored by my clients! Whatever your nutritional needs or restrictions, food should be enjoyable, delicious and fun, and together we will design a diet that tastes great and helps you on your road to personal health! .
